Rockcastle County wins: East Jessamine 22-21, LaRue County 22-20, South Laurel 52-7, Estill County 24-14
                        losses: Taylor County 34-28, Covid 0-1

Bell County wins: Knox Central 22-14, Lincoln County 33-14, Whitley County 36-22, McCreary Central 44-18
               losses: North Laurel 30-22

This game should be the deciding district championship. Winner will have all the momentum and control their own destiny for 1st place in the district. Loser wraps up the 2 seed. Going to be a battle that’s for sure. Last year this game was won by Rock 13-7 only to be replayed 2nd round of playoffs where Bell took it 13-6. That’s how the last two meetings have went. I expect a similar game in this one as last year. Two evenly matched teams going after the district.

I'd like to see Rockcastle win this one, but it will be tough for sure. I think Bell County has improved a lot  over the last couple weeks.

Doing alright buddy. Just working and sleeping. Getting older and uglier. I have a dog in the fight again...sort of...with Rockcastle and I'm keeping up with them a little closer. We went to the Estill game the other night and I've been listening online to the other games. They are a scrappy little team this year. They are either on or off. It will take a couple of those balls bouncing the right way (like against Estill) and some grit, but, they have a chance with Bell from what I've seen of them. Bell is definitely the favorite, especially on Old Dud's hilltop. I wish you and your Colonels the best of luck too. I've been rooting for them.

Rock will be ready to play. I’m sure both teams have had this game circled on the schedule and we be ready to play. Game being at log mountain you are already down at least a TD before getting off the bus. Regardless Rock is gritty and can scrap and claw back into games they have all season no quit in this team I think they just do what they do and find a way to get it done.

Bell co should win this slobber knocker. Neither team is as tough up front as the year before but bell replaced a great line with ANOTHER great line. Woolum and raby combine for over 200 in this one with burnett leading this team.

That’s a very fair assessment and statement. If Rock plays to their strength and potential then they can beat Bell regardless of being down 7 without a single snap being taken. If Rock finds themselves down it will be a tall task to come back at log mountain not saying impossible but very hard to do. They need to start fast and play fundamental football on defense and they should be fine. I look for Rock to find a way they have been doing this all season and have improved every step of the way. Just like last week offense wasn’t playing to their potential some of that had to do with Estill size and defense yet Rock just finds ways to win scoring on a kickoff for TD and a bad snap that goes off the face mask of Estill QB that lands right in Chasteen hands and the race was on. Those two TDs along with the two scored by the offense proved to much for Estill those types of plays are what Rock defense has been doing all season you just don’t know when or who will make that play but it’s fun watching and anticipating when and how it will happen. I will say Rock squeaks out the dub by 4.

That could be the difference though, I’m no Dudley fan at all, I mean AT ALL but he can flat out coach.  If Rockastle has to depend on miscues like you just mentioned it’ll be hard to win, Dudley cuts those mistakes out for the most part it’s one of the reasons he’s so hard to beat.

I agree last year that was the difference in the first meeting as well. Rock forced Bell into turnovers and took advantage of them. Bell doesn’t seem to make many mistakes but has against Rock the last few meetings. Regardless it’s going to be a tough game for both teams. A coin flip or fumble lol

Last year both games was at flag rock rock stole the first game but bell’s running back kicked butt the last game flying over players and through players to victory this year old number 9 will run over and crush the rock
