North Laurel @ Breathitt County

Powell cancelled with the Bobcats this evening. North Laurel was scheduled to go to Marion. But it was cancelled as well. Now North will be traveling to Jackson to play the Bobcats on the River bank. Both teams taking this game with less than 24 hours to prepare.

I like the Bobcats at home, it’s hard to win on the river bank, and they’ve steadily improved the last few years. Cudos to Larkey for actually scheduling this game it’s a step in the right direction, will pay off for N/L win or lose in the long run. I’m gonna say 28-21 Bobcats but they’ll have to be able to throw on the N/L defense. If N/L grounds the Bobcats it could be the other way around

Should be a good matchup I just think NL will find a way to win this one they should be the better team as a unit I will say

Not really impressed with performance of either team so far. Hopefully both show what their capable of.

Breathitt was mentally beat before the 1st kickoff with the decision not to play QB Jaylen Turner.
I knew it would be a tall take w/o him but didn't except 34-6 in 3rd.

Breathitt appears to be overhyped this year if the loss of one player, although Turner is a good 2 way player, hurts this bad then Breathitt is farther away from competing for state titles than I thought.
I give credit to North Laurel. They has some really good athletes and know how to get them the ball.
That 3 man front they are using is completely controlling line of scrimmage when Breathitt offense is on the field.

Actually it's not just one player. Not only Turner but the 2nd and 3rd QB's on the depth chart were out. One of them plays both ways,O'hara the other only on defense,Bryant along with 3 other starters. But, NL has a great QB and a good running back and they beat Breathitt tonight. Hazard next week so we'll see how it goes. I was a member of this forum years ago but forgot all my credentials so had to re-up!
