Class 1A Preseason ranked #3 Williamsburg will travel to Middlesboro this Friday. Middlesboro comes off of a hard fought victory over Hazard 22-20. Williamsburg just came off of a thumping of Oneida, TN 50-21. I witnessed that one first hand.

Middleboro looked good in scrimmage I saw but I think Williamsburg is too much.
I could see Williamsburg making deep run this year if their RPI works out.

Burg by a touchdown in a high scoring game, but this is a toss up. Glad to see Coach French getting Middlesboro back into the mix. Football in Southeastern Kentucky is better when the boys from the Crater are relevant.

Middlesboro has suprised me so far this season honestly.  The program is getting better and slowly getting back to respectable again, and it will.
That said I'm not sure Middlesboro can outscore Williamsburg.  Boro pass defense hasn't been challenged so I dont really know how the boro will defend it, with the way Williamsburg airs it out.  

Im gonna take Williamsburg 34-22 but I wouldn't be at all suprised to see the Boro win.

Out on the edge they are better than burg jackets and defensively it will be a test for bowen running from big 7 jay west. It's funny how things have changed since I was in school.  I was in school in the mid to late 90s and for Middlesboro, teams like Williamsburg were automatic wins and afterthoughts.  Jv in at the half with 60 point leads
Kudos to Williamsburg and others like them for rising up and making this game actually be a game to care about even though at the end of the day means nothing
It should be a district game considering Middlesboro should be a 1A football school, would make more sense play all those district teams anyway

I Know nothing about either team really other then the dominance Williamsburg has had in 1A on this side of the state and the fact that it’s be a long while since Middlesboro has even competed little along beat Williamsburg. With that said give me boro in the upset lmao probably way off but I like that coach French has them being talked about again.

Seen this one. Not the same Middlesboro teams we’ve been used it over the past 6-8 years. Coaching staff has done a fine job.
