Without a doubt the score was 13-0 Estill!  Wolfe had nothing for the base hitting Engineers. Wolfe is very young, and possibly a force to be reckoned with in time. But for now, the region belongs to the Engineers!

Wolfe is probably the most veteran team in 14th region (as far as upperclassman).

Without a doubt the score was 13-0 Estill!  Wolfe had nothing for the base hitting Engineers. Wolfe is very young, and possibly a force to be reckoned with in time. But for now, the region belongs to the Engineers!

Estill dominated the game, Estill had 2-3 real timely hits when Wolfe had walked, hit batters, or misplayed balls to put runners on and in scoring position. Winkle was the difference in the game through as she dominated the Lady Wolves. Wolfe has 4 Sr’s but they have several players playing new positions and have to find the leadership that they lost with the graduation of Hailey Smith and Kallie Brown.

Wolfe may be the most veteran as far as upperclassman, if 4 seniors make you veterans. However, the roster includes more than several very young players. A Hailey and Kallie can’t be replaced easily. They had played 6 years which made them even more valuable to that team. Benny isn’t overwhelmed with outstanding athletes/players year in and out like a top notch program every year. These kids, like the two I mentioned, started as 7th graders, and those 6 years playing most definitely helps. Most programs have that feeder ms team that sets them apart. Most region champ caliber teams don’t have kids playing up at 7th grade.
