Letcher just beat Leslie the past week. Wolfe handled Knott. Leslie beat PCC at PCC.

Knott beat Wolfe by 12 to begin the season. Wolfe beat Knott by 8 at Wolfe. That's not handling Knott....if im not mistaken Knott led biggest part of the game.

Perry beat Wolfe by 17 at Wolfe.

Letcher did beat Leslie but that's the only good win Letcher has. Letcher has beaten Phelps twice. June Buchanan and defeated Lee County by 4 at Letcher.

KCC & Wolfe traded the lead back and forth the whole 1st half. Wolfe took the lead at the start of the 3rd and controlled the game from that point on. At one point they had a 14 point lead and had a double digit lead for almost the whole forth. Wolfe wasn’t playing like a top 5 team early in the year but the last 7-10 days they look as good or better than any team in the region. Completely dominated Breathitt and controlled the game against Knott. Wolfe played really good defense in the 2nd half and Knott struggled to score.

I had seen where Wolfe had to come from behind to win.

Wolfe was down 4 at the half after both teams had the lead probably 5 times in the first half but Wolfe took the lead a minute into the 2nd half and never gave it up.

Knott did struggle to score inside, but that won’t happen often. Wolfe played great defense and Knott did not. That’s really the difference. Knott had McGuire and Shepherd on the bench the whole 4th quarter. Even if they aren’t scoring, size inside the paint will change shots and stop drives to the basket.

I think the region has several teams that can win. From what I have seen with most of these teams it will come down to which team is most unselfish and who is gelling the best around tourney time. Also, we never know what Covid may bring. For the first year ever ANYTHING could really happen. All teams will have to have a little luck just to be participating in the games that count.
