Agree different year and different team at least for Pikeville but it’s basically the same Paintsville team. I watched the West Carter and Hazard game with Paintsville and they still have the same weakness they had last year and if they don’t improve it that part of their game Pikeville won’t miss on it like the other two did. I expect Paintsville to put a running clock on Raceland honestly. Raceland will have a tough time moving the football on Paintsville's D. No offense to Ram fans on here but unless they've greatly improved from week 1, I just don't see any threats from the Rams offensively. Good luck to both teams and I hope they play a great and injury free game.

Pikeville big sad that they won’t get home field during playoffs. I say it’s smart for Paintsville not to play LCA. They have a couple injuries, have a good chance to drop in RPI rankings if they lose and they should make up their district game. Maybe it’s karma for Pikeville keeping some things hush hush this season.

Paintsville with a game that could challenge them, and really prepare them for the playoffs and they cancel. This tells you all you need to know about their program.

What does this tell you? Have some of you forgotten just how far this program as came under Chirico? We literally got beat by Jenkins with Kash Daniel on the roster and we are now 1,2,3 year in and year out. 2020 has been a wild year and some of the more respected members on here must be bored with this type of nonsense.

Since you don't know what the reason is, this is speculation on your part haha.

I would love to hear JP elaborate some on his “textbook Paintsville” that he keeps trying to drive home! Acting like the Panthers have been playing Male and Trinity every Friday night and Paintsville hasn’t done anything this season. Pikeville beat a Belfry team that was as down at the time as Belfry has been in many years. He didn’t start this talk until they lost to a 2-4 Campbell County team and of course that loss is ok because they played out of their class.  No Paintsville fans on here have been bashing Pikeville and this is a good year where they could. We have the TOP 2 1A teams in the state within 30 miles of each other. Pikeville has won championships yet the jealousy and Interest of Paintsville seems to be too much. I could see JP being interested in Paintsville when they play maybe but it appears he is throughout the entire season. Not sure why a POWERHOUSE School such as Pikeville is so concerned of a Little 1A School that barely has 250 kids and hasn’t ever won a state title in football? What seems to be your fascination with who we play JP? Surely your not worried about the Tigers? I mean why would you be?

Why this is a whole lot more fun, listening to all the reasons Paintsville canceled the game when they did what they did to the LCA player last year according to some posters. We (well most of us)know  why they cancelled. For the record I am not a hater either but do like to poke at 2000PHS and Blue-Bird. Now for RPI standings Pikeville is 3rd and Paintsville is 4th as of now but I see that changing in the near future with Beechwood playing NCC . Plus I don’t know what Pikeville is going to do for games the next 3 weeks,hopefully they pick up a couple of games. But as always GO PANTHERS!!!

Hopefully an agreement to play can be reached by LCA and PIKEVILLE. Win or lose, the Panthers need games. If not, looks like a three week bye for these young men and they don't need that before the playoffs. Maybe ASHLAND, RUSSELL ?

This game is always a tough one Blaze. We’ve had years I felt like it shouldn’t be close and somehow the Rams find a way to make it close or win and others I’m not as confident and we get through it fine. These two teams love getting a crack at each other. With the only Raceland game I’ve watched was early against Pikeville and from what I saw then, I felt confident about playing both teams but again, it was early and things change. Teams get better, players get injured ect. Just like Pikeville was I’m not excited about playing at Ram Stadium. Flashbacks of 2017 cause some concern. Hopefully Paintsville puts their head down and Continues to do what they’ve been doing and it should take care of itself. Are you gonna be at this one Blaze?

This has always been a fun rivalry and even though we give each other hell from time to time for the most part you Paintsville folks are good people that love their football as much as we do.  

Raceland is in a slump right now but I think that happens to most small town 1A programs from time to time.  We will be back on the thick of things again, it will just take some time.

I know no one is giving us a chance in this one and I will agree that we are tremendous underdogs but I look for Raceland to give their best effort of the season in this one.  Raceland has played a brutal schedule to this point and they won’t be intimidated by Paintsville.  I think we will struggle matching up with Paintsville’s size and strength and we will have to rely a lot on our speed and finding an edge to move the ball effectively.

One thing I noticed with Paintsville in the West Carter game is that they leave a lot of open space in the off tackle areas of their defense.  I’m not saying Raceland can do this but if they come across a team that has a good offensive line that can trap block well I think they may be in trouble somewhere down the road.
