American Idol Results

Tonight Chris Daughtry was voted off of American Idol. Personally, I think America made a huge mistake, he was, in my opinion, the most talented person on the show and he should have won it all, or atleast made it to the Final 2.

What does everyone else think about this?

Exactly my thoughts. Chris didn't deserve to leave tonight. Katherine should have been gone....

I couldn't believe Chris got voted off... i thought Katherine would be gone when it was him and her in the final 2... Chris was the best IMO

i tell you what, Chris has more talent then the other three combined IMHO. no way should he have gone, but thats how things work i guess. to me, its a travesty. i will not watch the final few episodes because of it...

We just loved Chris, but he kind of appeals to people who like a certain kind of music, like someone who would be in a band like Hinder, Nickleback, maybe even the Pearl Jam types, I bet country fans, and oldies fans and other category fans didn't care too much for his singin.... Wonder if Simon can set him up with something?? The look on his face was priceless! I agree with him this time, but I am pretty sure this guy will have a fantastic future!! My next fav. would have to be Taylor....(simmer down BT).

I'm with you Mrs. BT....Chris should have been the winner this year. Katherine needed to go. Now I don't know who should win. I think the remaining 3 is a pretty close race. Chris is the only one who really didn't have a bad night through the entire contest. This is horrible.

Well Chris was the only one the entire contest that you really could tell if his singing was bad, he never had a performace that his vocals were out of sync. And its like it was said earlier he never refused to back down and sing the way they wanted him to he stuck to his style.

If Taylor wins, he will be like Fantasia and Ruben and be flops. Taylor's style is not something that we would listen to. He is more like a Broadway singer. I personally think he sucks.

Obviously we enjoy Taylor's style or America wouldn't continue to vote him in week in and week out. Also, I listen to Taylor's music (he has 2 underground albums already out, check them out) all the time. I'm your average 19 year old and if what I listen to isn't "mainstream" I dunno what is.

My point is, I think Taylor's album will sell great, regardless. How can you not like a mixture of Rob Thomas & Ray Charles... you can't go wrong there.

Mainstream sound + Soul = a very good combination :thumpsup:

Also, no need to worry about Chris. He's already had an offer from the band Fuel (he covered one of their songs on an episode of AI) to be their new frontman. He'll have plenty of oppurtunities knocking at his door.

I was shocked he went home as well. Even though he was my favorite, I was glad to see him go so that he wouldn't be bound to an AI contract and become a mainstream singer like Bo Bice. What happend to Fuel's lead singer?? If he doesn't join Fuel, he's still on his way to a big contract. Check out his already formed band, they're pretty good. http://www.absentelement.com/
They have an album for sale on the site under merchandise and you can listen to 4 of their songs in the media file. I hope he stays true to his band and helps them hit it big. If not I'll still support him as the lead singer of Fuel.
