Football Delayed in TN.
#1
For those of you interested in the future of high school football in Kentucky, you should take a glance toward our neighbors to the south, where the state of Tennessee delayed the start of football and girls’ soccer.

Tennessee’s governor extended the state’s State of Emergency until August 29, which will push back the beginning of the season for those two high school sports.

Corbin, McCreary, Whitley, Williamsburg all lost scheduled games.

If football gets played, would Corbin and Highlands play each other. No real good options for Whitley or Williamsburg to find a replacement.

Well Fulton County and Mayfield have agreed to play season opener on August 21st.
Tough game to open with for the Pilots, but hey! They have some talent lets see if they can play and learn from one of the best.

Highlands don't want no part of the Hounds at Corbin in the Hounds Always Wins Bowl, those pups would lay a thumping on the Bengals in the Pigskin Classic. That's going to hurt the gate big time, going from two big games to one is not good.

Geez Highlands went 6-5. Lost 31 seniors. QB, top 3 rushers, top 4 receivers and top 5 tacklers. 73 on roster with no freshman.

That's great. If there was ever a year where Fulton Co. would want to play Mayfield it will be this year with the Cards having to replace so much talent, Fulton Co. coming off a decent season, and it being the first game of the year. Don't know if they'll have anything for Mayfield but if they can hang around for a little while it might be a good confidence boost for their program.
