How Did We Get to the Point That We Could Consider a Communist for Pr
#1
And dont give this garbage that he is a "democratic socialist", he is a full fledged communist.
#2
Short answer is a growing number of people are dumb and easily brainwashed.
#3
^^ And a big part of it is our system of education which does the brainwashing. Students are taught liberal revisionist lies and frankly, I doubt in many cases that the teachers are even aware that they themselves have been similarly duped.

At any rate, socialism/communism has been repackaged and renamed (democratic socialism) and the indoctrinated such as AOC have to our shame, begun to take places of influence in American society. At one point in our recent past the percentage of liberals in the Democrat Party was about 21%. Right now that rate stands at 51%. They're winning the war for the hearts of young Americans, our own sons and daughters. And though it may already be too late, parents had better get onboard with the seriousness of all this and plead their case.

Yes, and "news media" and "entertainment".

 Exactly right. Not only is this country increasingly under educated, it has been and continues to be intentionally mis-educated. The Soviet Union fell under the weight of communism and a socialist central command economy, but the long game that the Soviets played did not end with the fall of the USSR- it gave birth to the modern American Democrat party.

There are several broad leaps in this thread already, but the education system brainwashing students to love communist theory is one of my favorites.

Sanders isn't even close to communism. Heck, as he is running today he's not close to socialism. Obama and Trump are closer with their bailouts, bank tax breaks, and injection of policy in trade. He may change in office and start restricting toilet paper, but that's not what he is running on.

The tolerance of socialism in this country baffles me. It seems to be fine to subsidize certain areas, but not others. Anytime anyone mentions expanding public education to include postsecondary education or providing everyone with healthcare people blow their spout, and scream socialism. But it's crickets when taxpayers dole out payouts to corporations who gambled their fortunes away for a few to get rich.

Considering the transfer of wealth these days; America should be more worried about becoming an oligarchy than anything.

Yeah you're above the fray here, that much is obvious. :lame: Sanders loves Russia and if memory serves, honeymooned over there. He's a commie.

So if you traveled to the Soviet Union you are a communist? Hmmm...

Nah, just like dealing in facts.

Calling Bernie a communist is like calling Trump a fascist.

They both may have said something that resembled those political arenas, but neither live there.

You've yet to name a fact. But your hero Obama started the fascist lie, made it up out of whole cloth. On the other hand a D-9 couldn't touch the mountain of evidence supporting the fact that Bernie is a commie. Heck, even your own party sees that, and that's why they're going to steal the nomination again. And other than the fact that the lefties are all out there parroting their "Trump is a fascist" lie, there is zero evidence in existence which comes close to leading one to that conclusion.

"Fascism is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power,
forcible suppression of opposition, (I.E. the resistance's sham impeachment of President Trump) and
strong regimentation of society and of the economy (I.E. regulation nation under Obama) which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I, before spreading to other European countries. Opposed to liberalism, Marxism, and anarchism, fascism is placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum."

FWIW I implied Trump was not a fascist. You spent your entire post telling me he wasn’t one.
My stance was about Sanders, so you should have spent your entire post telling me how Bernie is a communist.

The party isn’t supporting Bernie because he has never been a Democrat. He is an independent running under the Democrat party name. Why should they support him?

Not at all. You brought up the Dem's lie about Trump supposedly being a fascist. So it wasn't just anybody who came up with it. All I did was to provide the link proving more specifically, that Obama was the one who started the whole thing. Further, the libs (just the way they do everything else) all lined up behind him like baby ducks on it.

I did address Bernie and you sidestepped it. But let me be more clear about the remainder. Most Democrats are epic projectionists and have a predilection for calling the kettle black. Thus I gave you the definition of fascism because incredibly, it contained two classic examples of the Dem's hypocrisy. 1st - Forcible suppression of opposition: 2nd - Strong regimentation of society and of the economy.

None of that tells me how Bernie is a communist. It does show your feathers get riled up when someone mentions Fascism and Trump in the same sentence.

Better get used to that "Dem lie" if Bernie wins the nomination and Trump supporters want to throw around communist. Bernie Bros will be firing right back.

IMO both are silly.

Some selective quoting by the Washington Examiner.
Here is the full quote:

"I don't mind people coming up and calling me a communist," Sanders said. "At least, they're still alive."

None of that tells me what makes Bernie a communist now.

If the Democrats don't want Ther nominee called a communist, then they need to make sure that Bernie doesn't win the nomination.

It would seem comparative analysis just ain't your forte.

Trump said he changed, and has laid out in rather extensive terms the particulars of his enlightenment. He even aptly characterized his personal failings and his regrets thereto. In both areas however, (political and spiritual/moral) he has been adamant about the validity of having changed his mind. Want another example? Ronald Wilson Reagan. A man with whom BTW, your hero Obama famously tried to identify and was mocked to scorn. But frankly I can identify with MR Trump wholeheartedly, as I was once a Dem and too, was living outside of the protections and insight of our Lord's forgiveness. So Trump has gone to careful lengths to voice his change of heart and give the why.

Now comes along Cardfan and though unable to cite a scintilla's worth of support, wants to hold ol Bern's end up anyway. Because as every one of Bernie's advocacies, proposals, speeches, debate performances or policy declarations clearly show, that nasty taste for socialism hasn't eased one iota. Not to mention he certainly hasn't made a statement formal or otherwise, that he has 'changed his stripes.'

Please point me to the document where Trump explains his failings and strived to receive the Lord's forgiveness that would have to be a great piece of fiction.

Still doesn't explain why some call Bernie a communist today. What platform in his campaign suggests he is starting a revolution?

You've become even more overtly delusional.

I heard him say it, more than once. Further, the talking heads on your favorite news outlets made a living making fun of him for saying it when he was on the campaign trail. But why would I want to source something for one who makes a habit of rejecting everything except DNC talking points? :please:

Speaking of myself when I mentioned living outside of the Lord's grace. Add miserable failings in reading comprehension and context recognition to that short list headed up by comparative analysis woes.

LOL. For the first time since the formation of the modern day Democrat Party, which as I understand it was about 1828, we may see a declared socialist earn the nomination. And he isn't even a Democrat. Already we see lifelong Dems flocking to the Republican Party, or being forced to try to defend the indefensible--- Bernie Sanders.

I don't know what his campaign slogan will be, but safe to assume it will be a load of 'commie rot.' :hilarious:

Ya know TRT, you can see this current bunch of moron millennials, (which are the dumbest and most worthless generation that God has ever placed on this earth) to buy into Bernie the Red's blabber, ,but it's hard for me to fathom a grown adult buying into the lunacy that this full fledged commie rattles on about. One would have to be (A) a complete idiot to not be able to peg the Bern for what he really is, or is (B) a sympathizer himself.

But then again, the democratic party at that time had not proudly and officially taken on the principals of Lenin & Marx, coupled with the showmanship of Stan & Ollie to promote it.

It's a real shame I agree. The only option is voting Dems out. They ignore the reality of a United States reinvigorated and at work again in favor of lies. Wait till the bad boys with the nukes get their courage worked up. And all the La-La's in onesie PJ's sipping on cocoa will be getting their draft notices.
