Word around the arena tonight was that Hall possibly tore his acl. Prayers goes out for that young man. As for the game Pikeville showed a lot of grit after Hall went out. Sammons played really well. And Walters and Robinson stepped up. For Pikeville to beat a good Martin County team without their starting back court (Hall and Lockhart) says a lot about the Panthers.

Martin county can’t seem to get right. Heard there was some players quit after the game. It’s a shame that a team with this much talent cant get over a few parents having to stick their nose where it don’t belong. The coaches need to play the best players and to hell with what the parents think and say.

That is their problem, they have no intentions of playing the best players hence the same old story “we will be better next year”. They will continue to lose games. Sad when you cannot beat a Pikeville team minus 2 starters. Like I have said before, well on their way to another losing season.

Martin County has plenty of opportunities to win that game and just couldn’t capitalize. Pikeville played great though their youth showed at the end of regulation. Martin Co. Isn’t a championship team and they lack tournament experience.

Martin Co. has some talent. I would think they would be a better rebounding team. I’ve seen them play about 3 times. Potential is there. They just don’t seem to put it all together and play consistent. IDK, just talking

Man what kind of adult or kid which ever you are worries about a high school program so much? Spend your time on something productive. And for Pikeville Basketball they have two kids from Floyd county. One whose been there since middle school and the other enrolled as a freshman (So no transfers). I don’t see you putting down the Prestonsburg kids that are at Paintsville or Betsy Layne. These are 16-17-18 year old kids. I don’t have a dog in this fight just a fan of local sports but all I ever see is every fan base around cheers against pikeville. These are just kids playing a game. Have a good day.
