What is your team's schedule for next season? Are there any new teams on it? Still looking to fill their schedule? I hope Belfry is able to find 10 games since they only had 9 this year.

Unless it's teams that are in 4 team bowl games and/or 1 year deals (which aren't very common), 90% of the schedules or more out there are staying the same. Only changes are the sites.

Anyone know Breathittâs schedule? I hope Coach Moore adds a couple of quality teams to prepare his boys for a deep playoff run.

Only one game will change, the rest of them are 2 year contracts (as I mentioned earlier). They have to find a team to replace Jenkins.
The next scheduling rotation for new changes won't be until the 21-22 seasons, and coaches have already started penciling in games across the state as we speak. I'm sure Breathitt is doing the same.

Paintsvilleâs is the same, just switch the locations. Only question is the Beechwood at Georgetown game.

Yep. That's how most all schedules work. Outside of maybe 10% of the total games across the state (2 year bowl game agreement with opponents flipping and/or the rare 1 year contracts...., the 2nd year of a cycle is the same as the first..the sites only change).

Tell Paintsville Sayre is looking for games. Sayre is about to take over 1A.

Pretty sure Belfry is going to need a game, but not positive. If Paintsville needs a game as well then that would be a nice Eastern Kentucky matchup if the two sides would get together and make it happen.
And before anyone says Paintsville don't want to do that, the Pirates are going to look totally different next year.

I know Belfry will have to pick up someone to fulfill their schedule. They only had 9 regular season games this season. Not sure if the Ohio team is coming to Pond Creek or not. Not sure who the PCB opponent will be either. I've heard different things on it. I've heard Mingo central then I've heard people say it won't happen.

With the new RPI Belfry will probably not try to schedule anymore Class A teams. It would be good for Paintsville though. Ideally, Belfry would find a Class 4-6 team to play.

Alter will come to Belfry and the PCB opponent will be Mingo Central.

I agree about the RPI although Belfry didn't have a great rpi this year and still won state but we seen how easy Bell County's road to the finals were with that #1 seed. I know most other teams already have their 10 games for next season but I would like to see Belfry get a Scott County or Highlands on the schedule. Those are 2 really good 5a teams who would help rpi win or lose. Or possibly get Ironton back on the schedule. I know they are an out of state team but they would be a quality opponent who was the state runner up with a kid who plays running back that is going to Ohio State as a linebacker. Would be good competition if Belfry couldn't find a KY team to play them.

I heard from a pretty reliable source MC will buy out of this game and the opponent will be LCA again

Called that right as the clock went 0:00 after the MC/Pikeville game....

MC is left scrambling for games after being voted out of the Cardinal Conference, no matter how ugly it could get for them I'd imagine they need any game they can get. But I dont have any connections over there, so I dont doubt you on them wanting to buy it out.

Johnson Central has 3 open dates
The w.v team didn't want to renew contract, wish we could get couple 5a
6a Lexington school

I got some experience with the WV team you are talking about. Not the least bit surprised they didnt want to continue with you guys. I mean that as a good thing about Johnson Central :-)

Maybe not. But I'd rather have a 1A team instead of no team, but that's just me. Seem like it was pretty tough finding "any" game last year when we needed it.

It would make a ton of sense for Breathitt County and Harlan County to play in week one if neither has filled that date.
12-24-2019, 08:26 AM
The new RPI system is going to make scheduling a lot more difficult for the class 4A+ schools.

I agree. That would be a good test for both teams to open up the season.

Hazard and Belfry both have the 2nd weekend in October open. Would love to see that game happen

I know Harlan County would like to play this game. It would be great for both programs.

LCA had resigned a two year deal for the Pike County Bowl last year. The 1st year of the contract was last year against Belfry. This year LCA will be playing Pikeville.
The other change of opponent for LCA is playing Madison Southern instead of Madison Central in the Doc Sipple Bowl.

It sounded like Breathitt didn't even respond to a possible game against Harlan County.

First year of the contract for LCA was in the PCB vs Pikeville. Last year (vs Belfry) was their 2nd year. So they have renewed to play Pikeville again and I think itâs great!

Iâm not surprised. Breathitt isnât real big on the idea of playing above .500 teams in the regular season.

Like to see these 2 play each other!! Be interesting Iâm sure
