14th Region All A
#1
This will be a very deep tournament this year. Anyone have the brackets?
#2
All I know is that Wolfe County Plays Owsley. From what I can tell the rest of the games are TBA
#3
Breathitt plays leslie.
#4
Glad to see Breathitt putting some pieces of the puzzle together right before All A.
#5
Buckhorn will have to be dealt with they are better than some in here think
#6
You can't count out Buckhorn, even though they have had a rough start to the year.
This All A tournament will basically be a full preview of the regular region, minus Perry County Central. Should be a great one !

*and Estill County - so basically PCC and Estill are the only two team (IMO) that can win the regular regional tournament besides the teams that are also in the ALL A - Estill is quietly putting together a very good season -

If you are looking at records it’s Hazard vs Knott in the finals.

Cordia, Jackson city, lee, buckhorn, and hazard. Are the bye teams. Knott looks to have a easy path to the finals. Buckhorn stands in their way. Meanwhile Breathitt plays leslie with the winner of that playing cordia. Owsley and Wolfe play with the winner of that playing hazard. Winner from Breathitt cordia leslie plays winner from wolf owsley hazard. Gonna be a good tourney.

Looks like Knott does have the best road to the finals, and Hazard may have the toughest, along with Wolfe and Cordia..all in the same top portion of the bracket. All-A is pretty much an early pre-view of the 14th region tournament, all but 2 teams are All-A schools I believe..with Perry and Estill being the only two schools not in the All-A..enrollment must be under 600 or something like that, not 100 percent sure. Has a lot to say about how the coal industry has affected communities and families leaving to find jobs..schools just don’t have enrollment like they used to

Does anyone know if any other regions have as many All-A schools as the 14th? Just got curious

4 teams are not in 14th Region All A,,, Perry, Estill, Powell, Letcher.

14Th Region does have the most teams with 11.

The 1st and 9th regions have 10 teams.

117 All A teams in the boys bracket.

Thanks, forgot about Letcher and Powell

Great information. Thanks for doing the research. Explains why teams from the 14th region struggles in terms of statewide competition.
