Very good win for Martin County. Beverly will make a nice addition to Perry as they are sitting at 2-4 now on the year before they head out to South Carolina for the tournament there. I am impressed with James for Martin and he's only a JR so he has potential to be even better next year. Jason is doing a nice job with Martin. Perry hasn't been the same since the Cordia game and need to find their identity.

Yes, he played some big minutes for the Commodores. Coach Hoskins has to be able to figure out a better rotation for our team and identify roles. We came out in the third quarter and was flat. We couldn't buy a basket and our defensive intensity had disappeared. Martin county took advantage of this and we couldn't catch up. I think he has to shorten his rotation, allow Beverly to run the team, play Reed off the ball, and get Cornett more open shots. It's still early and they have time to figure it out, but we have to step up our game plan and then execute.

Personally glad to see Beverly on the floor. The kid has put the work in and will be an impact player for Perry. Commodores looked good the first half and the second half just looked out of sync. Reed is a phenomenal athlete but hard to control. He needs to drive to the basket more instead of relying on the three so much. Perry will improve and it's still early.

Martin County is joke. They will never get out of the district. Their coach is a puppet for the ex board member. The ex board member must know something really good on his brother for their son to start. I wouldn't put much stock in beating a down Perry Central team.

I doubt Martin could beat Perry on a neutral floor. Every game I have ever watched when a 14th Region team ventures over the border to the 15th Region the officiating is one sided. I wonder what the foul count was for both teams.

Who’s position will he take once he starts? Perry got a beat down against Martin. They better bring in some better boys from the hood if they want to compete this year. But I’m sure Ol Hoskins has the AAU teams scrambling around for him a couple more.

Martin County came out and looked good in this game, however against other top teams in the region if they do not run their offense through James they will not win. If I was coaching and a player took a shot that wasn't wide open before James touched the ball I'd set them on the bench until they learned how to feed the big man in the middle.

Who in the District is going to beat them? Aside from Johnson Central, who can still win the District and Martin Co can still make it to the regional tournament.

Perry played very poorly in this game. Their offensive flow didn't exist other than Reed forcing drives to the basket. Hoskins is using about 10 plus players in many of these games and needs to figure out exactly who will produce. They have much improvement to do, JMO.
