#1 Mayfield 2a @ #7 Madisonville NH 11-1-19
#1
Who you got and why.
#2
I think it could be tough since our mlb lost his head and got kicked out. But, I still think Mayfield wins.

Madisonville's RB Hightower is a load. He averages over 220 yards a game. Mayfield will have to play sound defense and contain there high powered running game. This may require putting the DBs on an island, but, the Maroons are going to try and control the clock and keep the Cardinal offense off the field as much as possible, so, you take your chances if your Mayfield. The MNH defense only gives up 13 points a game, so, they'll be a challenge for the Mayfield offense. Stinson and Company will need to be on point and show they can consistently move the chains and put up points. When all's said and done, I think Mayfield scores enough to hold the Maroons off.. Mayfield 35 Madisonville 24

This will be a tough game. Madisonville is desperate for this win. A win by Madisonville likely gives them the number 1 seed in their district. Plus they have a good running game, and Jackson out hurts the run D, not to mention he is a good short yardage back. This is a great test to end the regular season for both. Not sure who should b the favorite.

Mayfield wins because they are the better team and has played the better schedule. Madisonville is a one trick pony and you can't beat a team like Mayfield like that.

Stinson has a field day.

Mayfield - 41
Madisonville - 21

Depends on the pony.

I'll go with Mayfield also.

Doesn't matter the pony if he can't get out of the corral.

like to see my old school win this one, but they always let me down, especially,in basketball with Travis Ford was there,Have To Take The Cardinals here.Hope For Injury Free Game..

This Madisonville team should be undefeated and they will be tough at home, it should be a very good game. If Mayfield wins this game on the road with whats at stake I don't see them losing another game.
#10
If Madisonville comes out trying to play with run game only, it will be a long night for them at home. They better be balanced.

This is November mayfield favorite month of the year. Confusedalute:

Mayfield 49
Madisonville North Hopkins 14

Reynolds, The Maroons QB throws it about 15 times a game and they average about 130 yards, so, they do throw it around a bit, but, prefer to run it and keep the chains moving and use the clock to their advantage. They have good size in the trenches, but, are also quick off the ball and pretty athletic. If they have any advantage, this is where it'd be.

Maroons in an upset:

Madisonville - 27
Mayfield - 21

Mayfield because ....

35-21

Mayfield win, 31-27, because its Mayfield!

Without Jackson the Cardinals won't have anyone that can't meet Hightower in the hole with that "Mayfield Thump". The fight in the dog better be #$!& BIG. Cards win but the long night award will probably go to the Mayfield defensive front. Will Morris play a 5 man front against them?

Wrong!!! Kylan Galbreath is better at lb. He will fill the hole. If you expect Madisonville to have much more than 100 yards rushing, you are in for a surprise.

Your left end is light. Guards getting to the second level expected. Nobody at 160 lbs enjoys tackling a 220 pound back. If held under 125 yds......I won't be surprised, I'd be shocked. This makes for a great game. The power of the tradition and lore of Mayfield football makes these kids sacrifice there bodies for the team. Pads will be popping. Just hoping for everyone's health at the end.

We’ve been winning with smaller kids for years. We almost always have small d line.

I think Galbreath will do just fine.

I'd rather play against good teams than cupcakes.

This is the kind of game that gets kids fired up and play to their potential.

Mayfield by 7.

I’ve been looking forward to this game for a while. I think Hoptown is better than Madisonville. I know Hoptown lost that first game, however, I still feel that Hoptown will get them on the second go around, when it matters. This will be a gauge to figure that out.

I'm very interested in this game because of a possible future playoff matchup versus Madisonville. Mayfield has a philosophy a lot like my team and I'm anxious to see how they do against Madisonville's running game.

Good luck to both teams and a healthy ball game.

Madisonville’s head coach played at Mayfield in the early 00’s.. I’m sure he has a good idea what Mayfield will try and do, but, I expect Coach Morris to throw a wrinkle or 2 in his game plan that won’t be expected and this could make the difference in the outcome.

Mayfield.
Because they're Mayfield.
I think the Cards will terrorize the QB the way they did with Murray (not the injury - just the defense in the backfield) and Caldwell.
MNH coach has talent, determination, and training from Mayfield. So, he will know some about what's coming. He won't know everything, though.
While I do wish the MLB were able to play, his backup is quite possibly better. There will be a top-notch RB to take his place on O.
Too many weapons. Too much scoring.
MNH has a nice squad and they have been fairly consistent. The Hoptown win was a good one but I don't think they have faced a team like this.
That said, it should be a good one and It's nice to face solid teams like MNH to prepare for playoffs.
Prayers for a safe game.

Heck, he never has his head! Absolutely embarrassing!

Caldwell and Madisonville scrimmaged preseason and the first teams were pretty even, the 2nd and third teams were all Madisonville. Madisonville has improved since then I'm sure and Mayfield fans think they will have no problems with the Maroons. Like I have said before you can't tell much about teams Caldwell plays when they play Mayfield because it's always a whole lot different. I look for a close game.
