#55PirateFan your always classy on here. I hate that for your son. Sounds like everyone that has seen him play is impressed. You have a classy coach and program. Nothing but respect for Coach Hayward. Hope Belfry and Coach Hayward wins state championship number 7. I am a Middlesboro fan but I pull for you guys too. hard to believe Coach Hayward has been in 12 state championships and won 6 of them.

#55PirateFan Wrote:Thanks brother. Yeah, it's not looking good for Ethan. He's been playing hurt all year, just didnt know how bad. It's either a torn meniscus or it's his ACL. Waiting for the MRI results to know for sure. Been a rough week for us. Keep praying brother. Ethan has never missed a football game since he started in peewee league and this has crushed him. He told Coach Heywood he wanted to play but coach said absolutely not. And that has broke his heart. He told me he has let the team down now. I really feel bad for him.

I hate it hear this about Ethan. He’s a great football player/athlete but a even better kid. I had the opportunity to speak with him last year at wrestling regionals. He was a well spoken ,very polite, nice kid. I hope he gets well soon and we’ll be sending prayers his way from Lawrence County. God bless

I think Dixon needs to play some just too get his feet wet. He’s only had 37 touches all year not including returns . The competition increases with each of these 3 games and with the questions still surrounding the O line, we need as many reps as we can get with the whole offense that we will have intact going forward. We just haven’t been able to put our “top 11” out on the field together all year.

Have to agree with you here, it’s been a big problem for Belfry all year and last year, too. Now with the main man out for the offense line it’s going to be harder to get the line in rhythm. The center is so important to the offense and they lost a very good one.

I hope #55 recovers completely and in good time for the playoffs. I’d like to see Dixon healthy as well. It would be nice to see LC pull a monumental upset, but any decent person wants to see kids healthy and competing.

LC can only hope for a moral victory here. They are not a team that can compete on Belfry's level at this point, but it will be good to see how Gillispie runs against a good defense. He tends to make a lot of players miss, but it will be interesting to see how well he can do that against a good defensive unit. If Baden can get some good highlights against a team of Belfry's caliber, it can only help with his recruiting
