Belfry. Because they are better.

Belfry wins but get the reps in guys and work while you are on the field and good things are coming for these Pirates

I hear Dixon will be back for this one? Can anyone confirm this? Heard he could have played against FC but with bye week following they wanted to give him a couple more weeks to rest.

I am not sure that Dixon has or not been given a go for Friday, but the word I am hearing is good news for him and the team. The main thing is for Isaac just to be healthy in general and then the football and getting back into game shape will take care of itself.

BTW, I like the Pirates 49-13

Serious question, #2 going to play collegiate ball in any sport? Kid is a great athlete and if he played for Belfry or anyone else people would be talking about him non stop.

Unless something arises later in the week.....expect to see Isaac Dixon back on the field in some capacity this Friday against Lawrence. However, the tough luck season (injury wise) continues for the Pirates. I won't name the player due to privacy.....but prayers for a full recovery. Great kid, great player. Difficult to replace.

Thanks brother. Yeah, it's not looking good for Ethan. He's been playing hurt all year, just didnt know how bad. It's either a torn meniscus or it's his ACL. Waiting for the MRI results to know for sure. Been a rough week for us. Keep praying brother. Ethan has never missed a football game since he started in peewee league and this has crushed him. He told Coach Heywood he wanted to play but coach said absolutely not. And that has broke his heart. He told me he has let the team down now. I really feel bad for him.

One thing big 55 has never done is let us down . He is a warrior and we hope the best for him.

Was the injury something that just occurred or was this the same injury he's dealt with all year? Tough kid. Hopefully it's just something minor where he can come back for playoffs.

He had been dealing with an ankle injury the first part of the year that he hurt in the last scrimmage game. As soon as he gets over that, this happens. He hurt his knee in the Magoffin County game. He finished that game and even played the Floyd Central game but was in a lot of pain. Last week we took him to get checked out and they gave us this news.

Sorry to hear that#55PirateFan, I know he is devastated probably nothing any one can say to make it better. But you can tell me he is one great player and he has never let his team mates down. Great young man and just get better still big things coming for him. Prayers for him and your family. Belfry football is a better place thanks to him and his work ethic and how he plays the game. All I can say buddy I am feeling for him and his pain.

Back to the game.

I think the Pirates win this one comfortably. Not downing the Dawgs, everyone knows I love me some L.C. Dawgs, but I think their still a year or two away. But their getting there. Not saying Belfry needs to run the score up or anything like that but I think, if they can, they need to put the game out of reach quick and get the backups in for some more game action. We're going to need them.

As far as Dixon, I would not play him unless it was absolutely necessary. We have two, potential, tough games coming up. I know we do with Johnson Central, and Pike Central seems to be trending upward as of late and looks to be quite good and we play them at their place. So I would let Dixon dress but I would not put him in this game unless the Dawgs come out swinging and gives the Pirates no choice. Which is very possible. Couple years ago we were big favorites against L.C. and damn near lost the game. But like I said, Dixon would sit if it were me unless needed. Just my 2 cents on the matter. Good luck to both teams. And pray for no more injuries.

Ah man, I hate to hear this, 55. Honestly, he is one player I look forward to watching every year we play. Get well soon, young man.

Thanks buddy. Good luck to you guys Friday. Don't know if you know it or not but I'm a big Dawgs fan. I hate seeing L.C. struggling. But their about ready to get things turned back around. And I cant wait until they do.
