Brandon May, has he Signed or commited with anyone??
#1
Just curious, heard he had some offers, its getting late in the School year, any news on his college choice or is he even going to try to play at the next level??
#2
I was told that he was going to be playing at Morehead State. They had offered him a scholarship at Pikeville College but he decided to go play ball in the OVC.
#3
No insult intended, but if he is going to Morehead for basketball,he wont see any playing time.He just isn`t at that level.Pikeville would have been a much better fit for him.
#4
wherever he goes I wish Bmay the best...I would love to see May in the OVC
#5
Im pretty sure that he is going to sign with pikeville cause from what i was told the coach over there has already spoke with him.

Good luck!

Hope whereever he goes he has a good career

He hasn't signed w/ anyone. Morehead called last week about being a preferred walk-n but didn't officially offer anything. Kelly Wells called today and said that he wanted him and is coming to talk but nothing as of yet. Brandon visited @ Pikeville in March but that was w/ Dale Brown who couldn't officially offer because he was just the interim coach. Baseball is still an option as well, he is actually a better baseball player with more upside in that sport imo. Brandon has never lifted weights or been in very good shape. With the right conditioning he's athletic enough to compete in the ovc imo just not right away.

RIDICULOUS!

I'd rather see him play baseball, I believe that is his better sport.

You folks must not get out and watch Alice Loyd,or Pikeville play ball much. The fact is he is a good solid player, but at the next level,he is very average,if he goes to a small school. He has always been bigger, and older than most of the people he has been playing against. Now those advantages will be gone.He can`t handle the ball well enough to be a guard, and he isn`t big enough to play forward in Div. 1.Now this is not to attack him,and I clearly said I meant no insult to him,but facts are facts, and you all will see how different his impact will be at the next level. And don`t get mad when somwone gives an opinion.I know what I`m talking about, and so do others on here, and getting upset with someone because they don`t agree with you is pretty childish. It`s not easy making to transition to college ball without the pressure of people who tell you that you are better than what you really are.I`m sorry, but some of you all are in for a rude awakening.

Brandons Best sport is baseball and he is a tremendous athlete. He is bout 6'4 and that is plenty big enough to play small forward in college. Most of you peopel don't know what kind of guy Brandon May really is and the fact that he will do what it takes and has the heart and mind to make it whatever he chooses to do. Good luck B

I'm not saying he is going to go to the next level and dominate by any means. I know and have played against plenty of people who have played for Alice Lloyd and Pikeville and imo Brandon can go to one of those 2 and contribute right away. + Brandon could play the 2 or 3 at either of those schools. C'mon, Chris Hurt gets pt at Alice Lloyd is he better than May? BMay handles the ball pretty well and is 6'3 with a college body and doesn't work out. Take away 15 lbs of fat and replace it w/muscle which they will do at college and he will be extremely athletic. If he does go to a Morehead or small D1 school he'll probably have to sit for a couple of years but he could eventually contribute. With that said, I still think he should play baseball or both.
#18
Goodluck to wherever he goes. Sounds like he is an all-around
#19
May is good yes, but morehead state? umm i doubt he would get PT at ALC..and if he did it wouldnt be much..guys like Jordan Noble and Daniel Combs, guys who lead there teams to the sweet 16 wont get much playing time..Preston Simon and Tyson Gross are to good solid players who dont get much pt either, May has skills but not as good as Combs, Noble, or Gross.
#20
BMAY could play in the OVC by his junior year...just get him in a training program and he woujld be tough
#21
MAY is WAY better than Tyson Gross!

How am I a shmo, what ever that is,for making this statement? You seem to take this awfully personally.I`m going to keep an eye on him in basketball next year, and see how well he does. Then we will see who was right. Will you admit to being the "SHMO" if you are wrong?Smile

Sure I will admit it. But you know, it is people like you that drills kids and makes them think that they aren't good enough. I mean, why do this? He isn't good enough to play at MSU or at AL? And for what reason do you think this? No I don't know the kid, but I know he is one helluva basketball player, and seems to be even a better person from what I hear! Also from what I hear is that the kid could get alot better which is scary. And for you saying that he thinks he is better because people tell him he is, MSU CONTACTED HIM! I guess you recognize talent better than there HEAD COACH. Maybe you need to be there scout, need me to find out some info. Like I said, why judge these high school kids who are trying to better themselves and go for something they want. Does it make you feel better because a kid was contacted by a bigger school than Pikeville or Morehead? Just plain Ridiculous! So who is the boy in your posts?

I never said he wasn`t good enough to play at Alice Loyd.I said he wasn`t good enough to play at Morehead. This was an opinion, and last I heard,I`m intitled to it.You should pay closer attention to what I say before you quote me.I think he would contribute to a school like A.L or pikeville, but he is not D-1.The boy in my post is Justin Hutchinson. He was a 5-11 junior power forward for Fairview who scored 22 on your beloved May last year.Just to put things into perspective,he will most likely play at K.C.U. next year.Something that is tangable, not a pipe dream.

May would be best suited for Pikeville College.
Kelly Wells will be introduced to the public today...great coach to play for...coached Chris Lofton at Mason Co.

The truth is that most high school stars go to college and see the game as a freshman from the other side--THE BENCH At this level you have players from all over the nation playing with each other if you want to play your going to have to earn it.!!! I wish Brandon the best of luck no matter what school or sport he chooses

He was good last year in the 15th region. The weakest in the state and he wasnt even the best player last year. Chris Hurt and Brandon May are 2 different player you cant compare them. I didnt say that he wouldnt end pu playing eventually but there is no way possible that he would come in and play. I mean the coach at ALC isnt even looking at him.

Actually , the coach at Alice Llyoyd has called Brandon a few times recently but Brandon wasn't home.

If he did call Brandon it was to ask him to come play open gym and he calls everyone to come play open gym he has even called players from jenkins to come in and play. And Tyson Gross is a great player and when he came in he wasnt on varsity he started out on the JV team and played real well and coach moved him up.
You all are right he would have a better shot getting to play at pikeville than ALC.
