I wouldn't either, I hate those people.

Wandale off to a great start, ran into a little trouble with the law out in Nebraska...Probably transfer to Louisville, should fit in real good there...

You mean law enforcement? I agree.

Jeopardizing a kid’s future for marijuana use is laughable.

He's a good kid.

Let's wait til the whole story comes out.

Are you serious? I really hope your not a real coach. Because all you did in your comment is say that's it's ok to break the law and do whatever you want, which is absolutely unacceptable, especially coming from a coach! I guess as long as he is a star it's ok. Sad! Rules are there for a reason. So what your saying is it's the cops fault? The kid is jeopardizing his own future, not law enforcement! Wow!

Didn't say he wasn't a good kid. Actually I've heard that he is. What I said was when are these guys going to learn. This kid is a great athlete and in my opinion could very well play at the NFL level. My point was when will they learn what's at stake and not risk it? Even if it turns out that it was someone else's and wasn't his, he has put himself in a bad situation with the wrong crowd. He now has something for the media, and scouts especially, to talk about. Which is never good. That's all I was saying. Never said he was a bad kid. Even if he was, I would never say it.

What’s laughable is this same old argument. I think most agree that it should be legal, but it’s not, and it’s still against the law. We don’t get to pick and choose which laws to follow or there would be chaos. So until it is then the only person ruining their career is the person that can’t follow a simple law.not only that law enforcement don’t make the laws so how are they laughable? They just enforce the law in the books, key word being enforcement.

I smoked enough of it to fill a garbage truck until I was about 20 and started growing up...Unfortunately the world we live in now doesn’t allow mistakes, he’ll forever be branded by this...

I didn't mean that to be directed at you or anyone else....I just think and hope there is more to the story.

He's a fantastic kid and needs to handle this situation one way or another.

Athletes are held to a different standard because their in the spotlight. Everything they do is monitored. The media wolves are just waiting for athletes to slip up. I never smoked it but Lord knows I done plenty other things I'm not proud of. The difference is, I was no athlete and nobody cared.

I’ll never agree it should be legal, some can stop at just smoking but most can’t, it’s one of the most prevalent gateway drugs in society. Like I said I did it and didn’t get caught if I had the old man would have made sure I took my lumps...

I know you weren't directing it at me brother. I hope he ends up innocent. But if he's not, then he needs punished. Not a harsh punishment, he is just a kid that made a mistake, but harsh enough to wake him up.

Honestly he’ll be ridiculed more by the media and on here more so than what he’s gonna get out of the justice system and that’s what I was referring to. I’m not sure what Nebraska laws are for possession but it’s almost universally a misdemeanor which means a small fine and maybe 50 hours community service if that. Your right though he needs to understand where he’s at and the spotlight that’s on him if nothing else the young kids who already idolize him..

I agree with FoSho, wait to all the facts come out and make a decision. Now if it would have been a regular guy and not a football star you think it would have been handle differently. I do for one it wouldn’t have been all over the news, two they would have put him in jail until someone bailed him out. Now we don’t know that didn’t happen and as an old man I can definitely say that I have done things that I regret but I also wasn’t on no free ride representing a college. Young people don’t always think of the consequences for their actions. Like some say on here he is a good young man and he very might be I don’t know him. I just hope that he learns from this and grows from it and moves on with his life. I still like I did before wish him the best of luck and hope he has a great career.

I agree with everything you said but I do want to add this. How long has the young man been on campus? It is a real possibility that he didn’t know who the “wrong crowd” was yet. Could’ve just been hanging out with someone trying to make friends and that person ended up having it on him. That being said, he could’ve had it himself. I don’t want to be too quick to judge either way. Hopefully this has a positive impact on the young man’s life going forward and he learns a lesson about appropriate risks and people to hang out with. I for one am rooting for him and hope to see him light it up in college and play in the nfl one day.

If, he'd went to UK, none of y'all would say a word! If, you don't think this happens every day, at every college program, you are crazy!
