Tates Creek & McCracken County will play Sunday @ 1:00pm for the 2019 State baseball championship. The game will be at the Whitaker Bank ballpark in Lexington.


Tates Creek is playing for their 4th state title.
(1978, 1980, 1986)

McCracken County is playing for their 1st state title.


Even though both schools are 6A and from two of the bigger cities in the state, it is good to see some different teams have a shot at the big golden glove.

PLD: 2003 & 2007.
Henry Clay: 1973.
Lex. Christian: 2005.



As a comparison, Louisville has 21 state baseball titles between 4 schools.

I'm probably missing the obvious here..... but what exactly does this mean?


"congrats to creek".... I take this statement as congrats to Tates Creek for winning.

"good luck dores".... This one gets me though. The game is already over and the Tates Creek mascot is the Commodores. Why wish a team good luck for a game that they won and is already over?
