14th Region Summer Ball

Any report on 14th region teams and how Summer Ball is going ? I think they have played some games in Hazard.

Anyone have a schedule of when and where on games being played this summer in eastern Ky? It would be great if someone could post the all the schedules.

I saw Harlan County beat Buckhorn and Perry and lose to Hazard last week at Memorial Gym. Hazard looks like the best team to me right now. Buckhorn and Perry will probably be top five, or at least top 7-8.

Perry is rebuilding and summer games don't mean too much. Fully expect Perry to be back in the top of the mix by mid Jan. Of course,Perry always gets a few extra players along the way Confused

I always expect Perry to be in the mix. They were pretty average last summer and pretty average early in the season, but they got a lot better.

Oneida played well. Beat Hazard 1 once and lost once. Saw great improvement from them. Seems to me Hazard is best team in 14th. Didnât get to see Leslie.

OBI didn't make the trip that day.
I didn't see Leslie at Hazard. I just saw them lose 62-43 at Harlan County today. Hensley was out for Leslie and Spurlock was gone for HCHS.

Hazard beat Leslie by 3 today. Leslie was without Trenton Day and Hazard was without Wade Pelfrey.

Clay beat Leslie, who was without Day again, 61-54.

Leslie without their best scorer that averaged 25.6 ppg last season took on the top preseason rank in the 14th and 13th region. Hazard and Clay. Was up most of both games but came up short in the end without their best scorer... These juniors for Leslie is out for blood this season. Ya heard it 1st!!!!!

Day avg 17.9 last season

Leslie took down breathitt last night without Day and Farler their 2 best players again. Lead the entire game. Way more physical than breathitt. They got new kids out and been playing 10 deep. This is impressive win coach noble said after the game if this is y'all without Day and Farler you all going to be damn good!

South was up 30-9 vs hazard after one q yesterday won by 20 plus. I left after my kid left the game with 6 mins to go. Hazard is much better than that.

Leslie looks like they could be a dark horse in the 14th. Beat Breathitt at Breathitt with two of the starters out. Only lost to Hazard by a couple without their best player.

Summer ball is a good starting point. But teams are missing players. Others will have transfers and so on. What Iâm looking in summer ball is talent level.
