He's a superb athlete with good skills. He will definitely play college football and I could see him playing as a wide receiver or even the slot. It will a great upcoming year of football. Bell County will be fine but young kids today "want to be wanted" and any attention they get adds to them telling their buddies we looking at other schools, etc. Coaches have had to adapt to cater to the kids. When I played, the kids catered to the coach the way it should be.

Way to small for an outside WR. He will be a slot type kid that will handle some hand off responsibilities.

He will probably end up like other quarterbacks from the area that ended up as wide receiver or tight end. Good luck to the young man, but their schedule doesnât show what he does. Zachery could have been a great qb for them last year and they would have gotten just as far. Plus he could have gotten great stats also.

if you think the kid can play tight end you have no idea what youâre talking about .. zachery couldnât do what london does at qb and thatâs obvious .. london is the most electric player in the area

Zachary was pretty quick, but he wasn't/isn't as quick as Stephney.

Stephney at WR possibly. I agree with not being a tight end, but just using it as an example of former quarterbacks. As far as being the most electric player around he is on Log Mountain, but I think you may have forgotten about Longmire.

london right now is more electric than longmire as a sophomore yes .. they are both threats to go the distance every play the ball is in their hands .. only difference is every play the ball is in londons hands .. dudley needs to spread it out a little more to get the ball to london and haddix needs to get the ball more to longmire in general

Offenses do need to change, but some are set in their ways.

think back to the last play in the first half of our first game last year .. we spread yuns out and let london take off .. if only we had done that all year .. Iâm not complaining though dudley knows what heâs doing and this is the year he works his magic

He has had the talent for years up there. School was up there in 1984 and how many state titles has he won? Two. I know he left a couple of times.

Bell had talent because Coach Hilton developed it in the weight room and on the field. It’s been obvious how great he is every time he leaves the program falls apart.
As for offense we made a ton of changes last year to adjust to Stephney’s ability. The offense will be made this year to fit him and Frazier in the backfield.

Iâm not sure on your age, but his 1st title was won with a quarterback and running back from Harrogate. Thatâs not his development as Stephney was not his development either. Iâm not disagreeing with him being a great coach cause his record shows that. However, a large percentage of his games have been won against weak schedules and transfers.

2008 Championship. I don’t know if any transfers on that team. I old enough to remember those days. I’m pretty sure since 1984 when Dudley arrived we have 2 more state championships than any school in the 13th Region.

Madon, Carton and Mills were all Pineville kids is what some guys talked about during Corbin game. Plus the Bullitt East team they beat in the championship was 9-6. We had chances to go far in the playoffs, but didnât and Bell does have more titles than other teams in the area agreed.

6 classes has helped also. Highlands and Covington Catholic werenât around in 2008 and now the Redhounds are gone.
05-19-2019, 06:11 PM
you have no room to talk .. you guys choked away your best chance for a championship in many years to come .. not gonna win one in 4a
05-19-2019, 07:55 PM
We beat Boyle County to make it to the championship game. All those boys you mentioned came in elementary school.

You guys? I never claimed to be a Redhound. Just a sports fan for decades taking it all in and enjoying blogs with other sports fans!!!!!

im sure a lot of schools around here would like to have 2 more state rings to their name .. only ones to make it are williamsburg and corbin and both of them got killed year 1 and choked year 2

I drove by Campbell field today, I think dudley is still in the visitors stands looking for someone to hug and tell how he is âgoing to bring another state title back to Bell County.â Say what you want about ole dud and his titles but he is Ofer against Haddix and he knew it would stay that way. Thatâs why he tucked his tail and ran. I halfway expect Bell to make it to the region title or maybe even to the semis depending on who they play. Make no mistake though, as soon as they play someone decent theyâll get the clock ran on them.

Please my good man, 5 players on that team came from Pineville via one of the players father. Dudley will never win another championship just due to one fact, he fell out with his recruiting coordinator.
05-20-2019, 05:23 PM
To my knowledge there were 3. All of them were at Bell County well before high school. Show me a football team that every player has been in the school from say 5th grade up. It’s not happening. Families move or go to better situations. It’s America. So don’t diminish what we did when that is the case everywhere.
05-20-2019, 10:34 PM
Take Stephney (Knoxville), Jones (Pineville) away and what does Dudley do now? They never did buy him a truck after he won the 2nd title like they did the 1st.

New basketball coach will draw several 2 sports players to bell county as in basketball/football :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:
05-20-2019, 11:27 PM
Several? Middlesboro, Pineville, Knoxville again, Cumberland Gap.....? Is Reed coming with him?
05-21-2019, 02:12 PM
you know Bell is back when they start nitpicking us .. sit back and enjoy the show
05-21-2019, 04:14 PM
You have to be kidding. Dudley comes back and has a couple of CAKE schedules and your back...... Will he be coaching or is he still in the stands at Corbin? 3A is going to be weaker so Bell is automatically in the regional or semi finals every year. Thereâs your nitpicking or honest comments. No more Corbin so now he can turn his back to the fans and coach!

Corbin has built a great program with former Bell assistants who cut their teeth under Coach Hilton. They were also former head coaches. Those guys are gone. Corbin might not find it so easy. Coach Haddix is a great coach and will continue to do well, but they had a dandy coaching staff that’s not what it was.
Bell was terrible before Coach Hilton got there. They went 2 years without being in the weight room much. He is building the program back up. This year we will have our best team in at least 7 or 8 years. So sit back and either enjoy the ride or be jealous of what we have going for us.
