Maybe not but I sure remember the Southern end crying and complaining about it. I personally think if any of the kids are willing to leave their brothers that they’ve played with since little league or middle school then let them leave. These guys have built what could be a state championship caliber team next year and if a few of them are willing to throw that away then so be it. Someone else will step up and take their place.

Sounds to me like hiring Foley was a good move by SW

If you think Pulaski is a 5A state championship type team next year you’re delusional.

If Pulaski loses the players and coaches I’m hearing are leaving SW may be legitimate contender rite away!!!

People thought the same thing last year and somehow they made it to semi state.Pretty much the same group this year except losing their QB.However the next QB coming up ( can’t remember his name) is suspost to be pretty good.

Look at who they had to beat to make it to semi’s. Losing your QB is a big deal. Pulaski won’t make it past second round this year.

And how competitive were they in that semi-final game? Wasn't it a running clock in the 1st quarter? They made it to the semifinals because they played in a weak region. With the cross-bracketing they will play the Scott County/Frederick Douglas district in the first 2 rounds then the Covington Catholic/Highlands district in the semi-finals.

Playoffs are different now. First two rounds are inner district. Then 1-4 on east ranked 1-4 on west ranked and they play to get one from the east and one from the west.

A semi final birth is a semi final birth. Does not matter who you played. You can’t control who you play in district and the playoffs. Takes talent and a good coach. Pulaski has always beaten southwestern not because if schemes but because Coach Hines has a better culture and his kids will play to the final issue. If Foley can do the same at Southwestern. There will be a power struggle for the district. And if Whitley county hits a home run with the coach and rights the ship. They can make it a competitive district.

Hahaha. This guy! So you’re basing Pulaski performance last year off of how they played in a semi state game they had no business being in! LOL

You’re a hoot my man! Pulaski is going to struggle a little bit in the beginning this year on the offensive side of the ball losing Cain. But with the young gun polston taking reigns we should be in for another sighting of what they use to call “Riley Football” when Hall was the man of the hour.

Pulaski’s defense will be tenacious and I’m excited to see how they perform this year! Been following pulaski football for the last 18 years! And I’m just excited for this one just like the others.

You might want to check the news. Nothing you said about next years playoffs is true.

I think they had a fine season and overachieved. They shouldn't have beaten Southwestern once, let alone twice. However, the fact remains that they were nowhere near Covington Catholic's level. The original post that I responded to called this year's team a 5A contender. I see no way that they get past the teams that they'll have to beat in the east to get to the finals.

Well I heard that Phil Russell declined the UK defensive coordinator job, so PC will now go 15-0.

I had forgotten about the seeding thing. The KHSAA hasn't updated their playoff schedule. They're still in the east though, right? If so they'd have to get by Covington Catholic, Scott County/Frederick Douglass to get to the finals, after the 1st 2 rounds, right?

I have to give Phil Russell some more credit tonight. PC boys beat Somerset in the district championship game. Word among the Somerset faithful is that Phil came to Fraley just before tip off and gave a great defensive plan.

Is the same Foley that coached at Northern Pulaski a few years ago and used Team Kentucky to recruit kids?
#21
Yes the same foley, again he knows some football but can he coach his own kids? Also who is on staff?

Coach Foley was very, very well liked when he was the head coach for middle school team at Pulaski County. Coach Hines and the Pulaski administrators had a "transfer meeting" with all of their athletes the day that the news of the Foley hire started to break, somewhere back around February 10th or so. The basic gist of the meeting was that the coach and admins said they would investigate any athletes that transferred to Southwestern and challenge any and all transfers any transfers through the KHSAA.

Bush league, Coach Hines. Bush league.
#23
Surely Pulaski Admin and coaches didn’t threaten every athlete in the school? How can they sit back and threaten everyone and say all moves will be investigated regardless of motive and everyone will be ineligible. They don’t know motivators for kids moving. What if a kid has been bullied and picked on and his family doesn’t want him at the school. Yet the administration is telling him they will investigate the move and make sure he’s ineligible. Sounds like parents would have a grievance with the Pulaski School district based on the Due Process Procedure regarding transfers.

Why is making sure players follow the rules bush league?

For an administration to threaten every athlete in a school is pretty ridiculous. What if a family simply has to move due to financial reasons and need more affordable housing?

Making sure kids follow rules is one thing. If they’re that worried about it maybe they should start in their own school and remove any student that lives in the Somerset or SW district.

If they actually move they will be illigible. So your excuse is meaningless.
#28
Whats been stated as "challenge any transfers" is incorrect. Schools don't challenge transfers. All transfers are imediately ineligible and the khsaa must then rule them elligible. PC could choose to release the kid by cooperating and telling KHSAA no problem. PC is apparently just stating if you transfer you are going to have to get yourself eligible, we aren't going to help you slit our own throat.

Is it really a threat when part of the transfer process is them approving or denying the transfer?

In your example above, if there is a legit move, shouldn't the process approve the transfer?

Good post at saying what I was trying to so, thanks.
