Perry County Central 72 Leslie County 60

Crazy how hard Leslie young group battles with a senior dependent team. Leslies 8th grader and 4 Sophomores going to run it in the next few seasons. Hard fought game by both teams. Don’t see Perry being very
Good after this senior group graduates. And again Leslie wins with Leslie players and loses with Leslie players. Much respect ✊🏼!
#3
Keep on thinking that. The new batch of middle schoolers they have coming up could probably beat Leslie right now.
#4
Wyatt Hensley does circles around the middle school competition Perry has... He has his entire life. So please don’t go there 😂
#5
Yeah sure he has. When? Tyler Day would eat him for a snack. What Perry teams he ever beat? Sure hasnt been East or West. Mt View wont even play them from what I hear.
#6
Leslie's young players are great, but Bulldogs is right about Perry's middle schoolers.
I was at the tournament this weekend and there's a lot of talent there. The Day kid and McAlarnis, specifically.

People said the same thing this time last year. Perry will almost always be in the top 5 in the 14th.

I’ve heard Leslie is going to play all their sophomores in the JV district tournament.. watch them run it with ease!
#9
Evidently Jalyn Williams dunked on a kid and knocked his tooth out in this one?

These 3 kids will not play in the JV district tournament, but if Pelfrey, Napier, Beverly from Hazard played in it,, Leslie would not win,, even if all the Leslie kids play, they will have hard time beating Perry JV

I saw the Perry tournament and I agree this is probably the most talented bunch they have had coming up in several years. If Heston doesn't send his kid to play with this bunch he is doing him a disservice.

Don't think they will do this, but who knows. Fact, they are not going anywhere this year and I doubt they will next year. PCC middle school kids are the bomb.

Best post you've made yet lol. But Eddie isn't the AD anymore, they relinquished that job title. He's back in the "classroom".

Is anyone els sick of people from Leslie and Letcher crying about recruiting.
Both counties need to quit crying and find a way to fix their sports programs, maybe if they had good programs kids would want to come to those schools or even better maybe your own kids wouldn't want to leave.

That’s a bad cycle. There isn’t much they can do to “fix” it if they don’t have good players. The KHSAA should do something about recruitment that would help. A mandatory 1 year setting out would fix a lot of the issues. Funny how the only people or teams I’ve actually seen the KHSAA do something about is Zion Harmon and Cordia. Yet the good ole boys at Perry Pikeville and a few more do it yearly. If a kid wants to go somewhere else that’s fine but make them sit out. That gives teams like Leslie a more fair shake at building and maintaining a program.

Not every transfer is a recruit. Sometimes kid just leave and teams like Pikeville and Perry have nothing to do with it, I promise it happens. And yes teams like Leslie could do a lot to FIX their programs. Some programs like Pikeville do the recruiting for themselves. Hire a good coach that can coach in today's world and put some money into your programs. Good things will happe

I can promise you Wyatt Hensley will not transfer to Knott Co. hahaha IF kids had any sense about transferring they would
Not transfer to an EASTERN KENTUCKY SCHOOL. They would do like brax done which was the best thing to ever happen to him. Transferring to an eastern Kentucky schools help absolutely nothing 😭😭😭 coming from a college athlete that played football 🤟🏼

Wyatt Hensley went 4/4 (All Homeruns) on team KY for a shot at the World Series this past summer. As great as a basketball player he is, he loves baseball 10x more. His dad is on LC coaching staff so good luck with rumors of the kid transferring.

So by putting money in your program you mean paying for kids to come and play. Let’s face it a good coach doesn’t make a difference because if it did kids would not transfer to Eastern Kentucky schools they would go further down in the state. Money talks and kids and their families listen. Programs at Leslie and Letcher are just fine how they are because they win or lose honestly. When kids in the 14th jump from team to team you are saying that all those programs are broken. Come on use some common sense. There are players that play for 2 or more schools in there 4 years of eligibility and you say that’s because of coaching 😂😂😂 I would say you hit it right saying put some “money” in the program.

If we “fixed” our programs then we would be constantly trying to beg kids from neighboring counties to come and play or put them up with families in the community or in dorms to make them eligible. I am sick of fans from other counties talking about how good their teams are and how great their coaches are. How the hell would you know when none of these anointed coaches develop their own players but go out and steal other players. How can any team in the 14th region represent a school when they are piping players in from neighboring counties and states.

I'm going to be nice but you aren't very smart lol

Good players want to go to good programs, letcher and Leslie aren't good programs.

I am smart enough to know good programs and good coaches when I see them. A good program and good coaches develop players not rent them at the high school level. I wouldn’t say someone with a college degree isn’t to smart if I don’t have one myself. But even if you do and you think that these teams are doing things right then you my friend aren’t that bright.

I know some teams break rules from time to time but not most of the time with local transfers. Out of state stuff now that's another story. And I know good programs too, I've been around high school sports for the last 20 years, I'm not just following beecause I have a kid playing. ( cough , cough)

That’s not the only reason I follow either man. I have grown up with basketball and watched it all my life. My son plays and I am damn proud of him. But I was watching basketball 🏀 long before I was a dad.

Of course players want to play at good schools and be in the state championship game every year. That’s everys kid dream. But In reality if a kid wants to get to the next level and is truly good enough it helps them zero to switch from Hazard to Perry to Knott. YOU SIMPLY DONT GET NOTCIED HERE bc everyone on this website has never left EASTERN KENTCKY and has never seen true talent outside of this area.
