I’ve seen us get our hearts ripped out before. Today we got one back. I don’t care how ugly it was, our defense is fabulous, and we are 7-1, and gonna play at home for the SEC East title. Wilson played great. He is our QB period. 7-1 game winning drive and TD pass. That Ky Defense is nasty Missouri didn’t have a first down the entire 2nd half.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m not sure what’s going on with Gran but this week pro scouts was evening saying UK play calling is terrible. Terry responded with somewhere around 267 or so passing yards. He will definitely be our QB from this point on. There are no words for our defense, no 1st downs in the second half for Missouri, held them to 14 points when everyone was saying they’d score 40+. If the offense just has a pulse we have a chance, Now Georgia comes to town for the East title pretty much, i would love for Gran to wake up this week but once again we will depend on Defense and special teams to keep us in the game. Not sure how UGA ranks in rushing defense, but i hope Benny can get back on track. He’s had a rough couple of weeks

Benny has let the hype get to his head it seems and now his passion doesn’t seem like it’s going towards playing football like it use to but now he talks with his mouth instead of with his football play.

And I could talk about Gran all night long, but the man makes $825K a year and this is what he gives us? I mean gee oh he’s pitiful and everyone knows it. Especially Kirby Smart and Georgia’s defense that is full of 5 star athletes. We don’t have a chance of scoring against them if Benny doesn’t check himself and Lyn Bowden doesn’t get chances downfield.

Which was a terrible call. Benny was by law last year and didn’t want the officials help picking him up after taking a late hit. He hurt the refs feeling and was ejected .

I did like the safe passes they gave Wilson to start the game to get his head right, but after that i expected to see more shots and the offense opened up more. Sadly i don’t think Gran has an open playbook. When he was at Cincinnati they threw for over 300 every game it seemed, but here nah.

Another thing, stop throwing the ball to Baker, that kid has never been consistent with catching a ball, two huge drops tonight. That Richardson is a baller given the chance. Also keep throwing to CJ, dude is a best of a TE

I said the same thing about it going to his head. Let your coaches argue with the refs or whatever, but don’t cost your team yardage. Same when west caught that penalty for throwing the ball at a players feet. Plays over, get up and ready for the next play. Now is not the time to get the big head. Next week is probably UK’s biggest game in its history. On paper, UGA should run the cats out of Kroger field, but with this defense you never know.

I will give Gran, or whoever decided it, credit on two play calls. After Wilson took the sack and we had to use our last timeout, instead of just chucking it into the end zone, the flanker screen to Bowden that got it to their 10 was a perfect call, put us in a position to not just fling it and hope. And on the winning play, Benny was lined up in the backfield, I have to think Mizzou was expecting him to get the ball. It set Conrad up one-on-one, was one of the easiest scores I’ve ever seen in that type situation.

Couldn’t agree more on Baker, he is the poster boy for dropped passes. I’ve never gotten over the wide open deep ball he blew against Florida, was it last year, that basically cost us that win. And the safe passes are ok with me for Terry, his biggest problem still is holding the ball too long, get him the quick looks to Conrad and Bowden so he doesn’t have to go through too many progressions.

If you guys watched SEC Inside UK vs Vandy, Coach Stoops was miked up and you can plainly hear him telling Gran what plays to run...Not sure it’s all on Gran...
I was a grad stundent at UK in 1977 when Art Still was unblockable and Derrick Ramsey ran through defenses, now Josh Allan and Benny Snell doing it...I think this UK team is better...

Georgia defense isn’t as good as Miss State Or Florida from a statistic standpoint. Benny has been slowed down because we became a completely 1 dimensional team the last 3 weeks. Without Benny this team is 2-5 even with an amazing defense . Idk if you have been to the games and talked to him or listened to his post game speeches, he is as humble and supportive of his teammates and anyone gets. He may have lost his cool because of frustration but i don’t think his attitude has changed for the worse. It’s not like his penalty was at the goal one or anything . We was headed directly for another 3 and out.

I want to believe that coach Stoops called the winning play. Gran im sure was all about Benny running it out of the wildcat. And I could not agree more. With the talent on the offense can we not find a coach that can actually play call.

I said several weeks ago that the SEC east was going through Lexington. Gran did everything he could to blow that. We can't keep doing this to this defense. They deserve better.

If we keep them on the field for 70 percent of the snaps against the dawgs its not going to go well.

I don’t know how true it is, but I’ve heard he approves the plays as they’re called and that Gran gets overturned a lot especially with throwing downfield. He definitely puts the brakes on when they get a lead instead of keeping the pedal to the floor. That’s just his conservative style. It would make sense considering Grans offensive numbers from his days at Cincinnati. Whoever called the wildcat on those 4th downs coming out of a timeout each time Saturday was a bonehead. Missouri knew it was coming and had time to get set for it. With 9 and 10 in the box you’d think someone would learn but didn’t. I know we sound awful complaining about a 7-1 season but we could very easily be 8-0 with some play calling. It’s bad when an NFl scout says our play calling is just terrible and calls out the coaching staff. Let’s just hope they have been playing opossum so they could turn loose in this game against Georgia nicker:
