Congrats to Rams

we have zero killer instinct from a play calling standpoint. nearly gave this one away.

Raceland has a really good team. Solid up front, hard nosed backs, and speed on the edges. Their defense is stout as well. If you like defense this was your game to watch. I think each team only had one long drive resulting in a TD. The rest was off turnovers created by the defense.

Jumper defense was also really good aside from the one long run to set up the touchdown for Raceland. Offense had a rough night. Have to learn from tonight and get better.

Congrats to the Rams on the win!

we gotta quit playing not to lose.

Somerset is tough. Number 1 didnt get enough carries imo. couldnt seenthe hold on the 97 yd td pass that got called back. did amyone catch it? hope the officials did a better job explaining things to the coaches on both teams, horrid signals to the press box and crowd. a win is a win and i will take this one for sure! onto the games that matter.

You could look at it both ways. I can see how the conservative play calling late was frustrating for you all as fans, but trying to throw the ball to get first downs late almost cost you the game.

I believe both teams tried their best to give it away...our safeties and their muffed punt...it was way to many mistakes from both teams. But non the less...both teams played hard. Some weird calls both ways but that’s football! Both teams need to move on and get better! Good luck the rest of the way Bunnies

I didn't catch it either, but at the time it seemed like a great call to me. Confusednicker:

the calls in the 4th i agree w u there. but out of half time we looked flat as hell.

I don’t understand the the roughing the kicker...if the ball hits the ground I believe the kicker becomes a runner. He then tried to kick the ball and shanked it ON and they called roughing on the Rams! If I’m wrong someone tell me on this !!

Good win for Raceland on the road. Congrats Rams!
#13
Way to go Rams. Big -Time win on the road.
#14
Congratulations to the Rams

As long as the kicker is still trying to kick, he’s a kicker. Only when he breaks to run is he fair game, or a block of course.
#16
Even if it goes over his head
#17
Congrats Rams, nice win.

Rams outcome sure give the Tigers some hope in Big upcoming district championship game

What if the ball hits the ground before it gets to the kicker. Would that be a fumble?

Congrats Raceland.

How?? A 3/12 hour bus ride and a week of no on field practice do to the rain and this out come gives Taintsville hope? I’m lost ...if this is what you need for motivation then your already in trouble

I’m not sure? Zero second half yards maybe, hard to beat a good team twice.

I will agree with that...

yea bc somerset is such a cupcake

If he recovers and kicks it clean he is a kicker, either over his head or on a bounce. Most of the time on one over his head the defense has closed and gets a piece of the ball. The protection for him is in place until it is blocked or he becomes a runner.

& Paintsville is?

never made any statement of the sort bud. i just dont see how this games outcome and the hazard/pikeville outcome gives anyone any more hope than they had before this week. maybe i took your post wrong. but if Raceland or Paintsville needs any more motivation for their looming match up, they shouldnt be playing that game to begin with.

Good road win for the Rams. Met some excellent Raceland folks before and after the game. Had a couple of guys speak to me on the sideline since I got put on chain duty after halftime. I hope everyone gets home safe!

As for Somerset, they still have 3 district games to get ready for. Danville, LCA and Middlesboro. If that defense shows up the next 3 games, they’ll be ok. If that offense shows up, that defense won’t really matter. I get they’re down their best two receivers to injury (and their third option is still nagged by high ankle injury), but they still have to dig deeper and get some kids to step up.

Regardless, they’ll be fine. Get rested, get healed. Great game to be in the crowd for!

not arguing here. just curious bc u seem to have the info lol. but what about rugby style kicks? its essentially a run/punt option. by the way i understand ur explanation, even in that case, if the punter is in that option, couldnt he just hold the ball until the point of contact then make like he is punting at the last possible second? itd be a dumb decision bc theres a pretty high chance that itd get blocked, but for the sake of this argument...lol
