Final from Pond Creek. The Pirates did what they needed to do early to put the game away by midway through the second quarter, benching the starters after taking a 40-0 lead. Jags score late in the game to make the final 40-8. These last two weeks has gave Belfry some time to rest up and get healthy. I just hope that we dont come out rusty next week from not playing alot over the last two games against a solid Cabell Midland team out of 3A West Virginia. If we do it could be a long night for the Pirates against a Midland Knights team that's playing some hard nosed football. They come in with a 3-3 record. But all three loses were to the top 3 teams in the state, Capitol, Spring Valley, and Huntington. This is one of the 3 games that I said at the beginning of the year that Belfry could lose. Hope I'm wrong! Go Pirates!

Yes they do. Cabell Midland is no joke! Those boys know how to play some hard nose football. Belfry will really be tested Friday night. Just glad its going to be played on Pond Creek!
