I'm talking more in terms of matchups.
Danville fans will definitely come away with an idea of who they think is better.

I am a big fan of Danvilles QB, kid is incredibly gifted. Ive watched him first hand for a couple years and what I like is that he can actually check down and progression on receivers and throw the ball to the open and not throw in to double coverage because play was called for the #1. He is smart and looks for open receiver and if there are none, he will tuck and take it. I thin Corbin wins tis one, but if Corbin fans want to watch a kid from another team with talent, this kid has it. A ton of QBs can pretend they check down but tape shows everything. This kid is legit and fun to watch!!

I think it’ll be somewhere around this. With a little bit of deviation on both ends, somewhere in the +/- 4

I don’t think so, I think Corbin will beat Danville maybe 3 or 4 scores because the game is at Corbin. I’ve seen some really good Danville teams go to Corbin and get it handed to them. On the other hand and yes I’m an avid Danville fan but I think Boyle Co will put a running Clock on Danville in the first half 2 weeks from Friday, they are that good and Corbin will get throttled again if they face Boyle County.

I do believe Corbin will win. I didn't see Danville game last week, but watched Boyle. There were some big ol boys on the lines for ballard. Talent all over the field but don't seem to be able to play as a team and all about themselves. You can win that way. I think the rival game brings out a different person in every player. I REALLY like your QB! I think Boyle wins but closer than most may think. Love your being objective and honesty as a fan of your school. Not always easy to see it and speak truth and though.

It's hard to get a read on how good this Corbin team really is. I know they are good, but how good. Whitley looked horrible, but did it have more to do with how good Corbin is, or is Whitley just bad. Danville lost some really good skill players last year, but they are still a top five team in 2A, in my opinion. With that being said, I think the Redhounds handle their business and win by a score of 35-21.

I think that Danville can keep it close @ Corbin and have a chance to win the game. But the sideline numbers for Corbin and homefield will give the Hounds an advantage over the Ads. Thornton, Bell, Bartleson, McGuire and the OL/DL will enable Danville to progress this season and be a threat for a deep run this fall.

I appreciate the objective post here and I too believe there is a good chance of a running clock next Friday in the Boyle/Danville game but strange things happen in rivalry games.

I'm interested to see this score and the Male vs Ballard score this week.

Here's to a healthy weekend of football!

If I had to put the farm on it today. I’d put Boyle beating us. As of right now they are the champs and deservingly so. But they didn’t throttle us nor will anyone throttle us this year or several years to come. The future is bright for CHS. Just had a sweep of the middle school titles, which I don’t think has been done before. They talent will continue to come through.

Now as far as this game with Danville. It won’t be any indication of corbin vs Boyle. As I stated before, to many variables at hand.

I don't know what the definition of "throttle" is but the title game could have been much worse. There was never any indication that you could stop our offense.

This year has a llllloooooonnnnng way to go and it'll depend on team development, injuries, etc.

It sure is FoSho and it’s along ride to Belfry if it gets to that. Better stop at about Prestonburg and stretch your legs and still have about 1 hour or so ride since I just made that trip. Good luck to Corbin and Boyle County the rest of the season. Corbin will win this game against Danville this week end.

Ok,throttle might be a strong word, what about got handled and controlled by Boyle County. I went to the game and it was never in doubt. Corbin was way too slow,I read on another post how fast Corbin is,there definition of speed doesn'tfit mine, Im used to seeing speed at Danville and Corbin ain't there but Boyle County is.Confusedhh:

I think you're right about unsure about Corbin? There is no doubt they are good, but really how good? I don't think you get a good look if the team you are playing is having issues. And you can't compare this game w/ Whitley as from what we hear, Leslie is not very good, so will we truly see how good or bad Whitley is?

About the same distance from here as it is from danville. Can I ride the bus with you to watch the pirates get smoked?

Any roads are bad in a bus. 😂

The Pirates don’t like smoked and I want to know what a Rebel is (PJDoug is that the answer).

No their-not bad I just drove them to watch Pikeville beat Boyle, PJDOUG the reason we let those West Virginia kids come to Belfry because it’s a wet state and Pike County is dry

You keep mentioning that stupid middle school game. By the time they get to high school Boyle would put a running clock on Pikeville. So there's that. 😜
