Laugh all you want.... It’s gonna happen.
It happened in 2015 but I would be shocked if it was not a close game either way. Both teams are good defensively.

Are you sure?
Single Wing 77 Wrote:People haven’t seen Estep play qb yet so they assume he is playing out of position. The truth is that he was playing out of position for the last two years. There are a few kids coming up the pipeline that can play the position next season. They’ll have to fight it out to determine which one it is. The cupboard isn’t bare.

I think you could put estep at left guard and he would have an impact on the game. Nobody is doubting the kids ability, just an honest question.

Gut they have two juniors that have played the position well until high school. One of those runs a mid 4.5 and the other always done a real good job. A sophomore that is a human pinball can play anywhere on the field due to athleticism. Two freshman that in a year could start for some teams. The Combs kid in eighth grade will be in the running before two long, he has a lot of the same characteristics Estep has just not as speedy. So they have several candidates to step in next year, but this season hasn’t kicked of yet and this offense is amazing set back and be amazed.
After watching practice yesterday, Corbin became a two headed monster on offense. Those who worried about the running style we lost from losing Sizemore, forgot we have another senior who can play an also is as big as Sizemore. So gunslinging speedster qb, check with Estep. Gunslinging power back, check with I am going to make you guess. We have two good arms and two running style qbs. This group is stonger, faster, and the most physical group in my time. Also need to add the j v practice didn’t lack any excitement or power. #gohounds

How did the actual running game look and both lines? I know we have some kids back there that can run the ball and a kid that transferred in, I think last year, from north or south that should be able help us out some. My concern is the off and def line??

Line play will be fine a lot of size on offense, defense has crazy speed. Running backs look amazing, longmire, Kidd are so freakin fast with the two fastest being at wide receivers. Still have little massingill in the mix, and baby Gronk at te. Yeager looking real good at the full back. Defense is physical, our backs will be able to take a beating and are probably praying for game time so they can take a break from our defense. I am going down to watch today also since I am in town.
MHS wins at Austin Peay by more than 2 touchdowns this year. Providing of course, the Cards don’t have any qb injuries this year.

Making excuses already 55 , Going to be another high scoring game this year, No excuses from 64 Corbin by 14 that’s a 24pt turnaround from your prediction 55 :Cheerlead. Oh by the way is mayfield bring their referees again this year :ref2:

Is the big lanky kid that was the RB on the 8th grade team that won state a couple of years ago on varsity yet?
That 7th and 8th grade team was loaded

Last year was the first team that won state since the senior group. Longmire was running back last year from state champion team, and is seeing a lot of reps he is lanky.

I thought it was two years ago. I feel like I havent seen a football game in 14 years. This has been one long offseason.
Longmire was the kid I was referring too.

He has matured a bunch as a player, when his body fills out to his potential may be the all time leading rusher from Corbin. With that said him and Kidd ( also has crazy speed) in backfield together with our receiving core and Estep at qb I don’t see how you can stop six kids every play. It amazes me how much speed and talent we have this year. Two rb with 4.5 speed, two receivers with 4.5 speed, baby gronk and Estep being Estep it is truly unreal.

Just tell them to make sure all the bulbs are working on the scoreboard because the Hounds are planning to light it up.

No danger in Whitley showing us though. I love how those who can’t pick one of our only downfalls and that’s all they can say other than recruit.

I'm not sad that he left Smile
pjdoug Wrote:I'm not sad that he left Smile

Yeah cause he’s not a Whitley kid and you only like your own kind didn’t know to handle a athlete.😜
Pj I invite you to come tailgate with us on 8-18, no red required. Just good food and good company. Also hope the health has gotten better.

if any kid leaves Corbin to go to Whitley County they were from Williamsburg to begin with.

Nope. you will tell lies and insult my intelligence and get my blood pressure up.
Who will be the backup QB if Estep were to miss a game due to injury? What position will the Steely kid play this year?
