I have heard Danville will be way down from the level they were last year and that Boyle will be better. Can anyone confirm? Would love to see a Boyle victory over Danville but have Danville and Boyle both win state titles again.

Danville lost ALOT of speed but has most of their lines returning.
Boyle lost most of their lines but has ALOT of speed returning.
Looking forward to seeing the Rebels get back in the win column vs their crosstown rival.

I'd love to see the Ads beat the Rebels again this season, but I don't think it will happen.

Shouldn't have happened last year. 😬

....and there is a strong possibility it won't happen again for several years based upon youth league and middle school scores over the past 5-6 seasons.

That is a fact. Although the talent Danville has in Middle School doesn't seem to translate to how they do in HS. Are there a lot of kids coming from other counties or what? Danville's 2020, 2021, and 2022 classes were horrible in middle school so we will see how they do in HS. Hard to believe the same kids going 1-8 or 2-7 in ms go 10-0 in hs. JMHO

The Danville class that just graduated was very good in middle school and regularly beat BCMS. When DHS/BCHS 2019/2020 classes were in 7th/8th grade Boyle won the game 44-0. The next season (2020/2021) the score was just as bad and so on thru last season. Don't really think things will change in the near future......I look for BCHS to put together a nice run on DHS but time will tell.

Boyle should dominate this series the next couple of years.

I think Boyle County will be too much for Danville this time.

I think it could possibly be a running clock in Boyleâs favor this year.

The reason for that is the age different in middle as the kids grow and move to high school the physical gap is closed and Danville is more competitive. 2 years older in middle school is not the same as a 2 year age difference in high school. It will be challenging for the Ads this year but I think they get another win over Boyle.

2 years older?
When this years senior classes for Danville and Boyle were in 8th grade, with ZERO hold backs the score was:
Boyle 44
Danville 0
When this years junior classes for Danville and Boyle were in 8th grade, with THREE holdbacks the score was:
Boyle 45
Danville 6
Nobody was 2 years older than anybody.
This is Danvilles excuse every season when they lose. "Boyle County has older kids because they hold the team back!" Blah blah blah.
Give credit where it's due. BCHS has some really talented kids.

I know there is a lot of animosity between Boyle and Danville, but it amazes me the amount of talent that has come from both of those schools over the years. You've both have great programs and tradition and nothing but respect for both of you guys from me!

The only animosity I have towards Danville people is the ALWAYS complaining about the "hold back" thing. It's a NON-ISSUE.
It's only a few kids. It's not against the rules. Nobody is anywhere near the age cutoff. If someone choses to hold a kid back it's none of anyone's business. It's a family decision.
Quit crying and compete. Take or give the butt whippin and move on with life. 🙄

Danville is the program that has a long history of hold backs.

Boyle County should win this one easily.

Come on man you are losing credibility saying there is only 3 hold backs. You are closer to double digits just in the 2020 class. Its ok to admit as you say it isn't against the rules. Don't get on here and lie to people though people in the area know better.

Double digits?!?! Lol......that's a lie. It's five but we also have a kid in the 2020 class that could be a 2022 kid. Do we get credit for that?
People in the area are jealous and play the victim a lot. But please continue to use that excuse if it makes you feel better. But always remember......there is no rule against it and the running clocks are coming regardless.

Ha ha not worth the nerd fight but you and I both no the truth. I can name two from Danville and one from Mercer that repeated the same grade when they transferred to Boyle and there are many more. I think it is part of the registration/transfer paperwork that when you transfer to Boyle for sports you also have to repeat the same grade LOL. I know you grown men live for this so have fun man.

There are 5 in the 2020 class.
I am having fun setting you straight.
It's easy to get on here and spread rumors to justify why we win so much. If it makes you feel better......
😂

LOL this is comedy. I know the people on here from other parts of the state don't know but you and I both know the truth and know there are way more than 5. I'm not putting names on here because not fair to the kids. This is the one time to shine in your life. Again a grown man gets to get on the internet and talk smack about high school football. Good for you. Continue on with your other nerd fights with everyone else on here

There are 5. And AGAIN it's not against the rules.
You wanna talk about being fair to the kids? Then how about not spreading lies about them?

May be a name the score for Boyle.

They are hold backs at ever school, donât know how many but like FoSho said thatâs the parents and the kids business. I remember one school wouldnât play another school in middle school playoffs because of holdbacks not going to name the schools donât think it would be right. Just my opinion
08-09-2018, 01:32 AM
Donât know about hold backs, donât care, if thatâs what people want to do. I also donât know that scores from middle school will translate to running clocks in high school. I do know that FoSho has been on Danvilleâs back since last season was over, you can step off anytime. I guess the late field goal last year is more than FoSho can stand. Boyle should beat Danville this year thatâs clear, but cut all the crap itâs getting old.

I find it hilarious that Danville fans are on a public high school football forum giving fans from another school a hard time about hold backs when Danville has been doing it since the 1970âs.
