Not wanting to lend credibility but the people trying to depose this government with fake news, comprise the real echo chamber. And to that end a lot of rational people are concerned that the American majority, who live outside the echo chamber BTW, will lose faith in government altogether. Because after all, the media have the microphone, and no propagandist regime has ever done a better job spreading lies than our own FREE PRESS. But they had an imperial leader to inspire them in the lie spreading.

In 1972 The O'Jays released a hit single entitled "Love Train." And regardless of the lies being told to the contrary, American people's sentiment was for the most part one of relative affection for each other in that day. And that sentiment continued on, right up until Mr Obama explained to the masses why they should hate each other. Publicly berating the police and generally decrying what he believed to be the offenses of our culture to the world, through subtle speech Mr Obama called for and applauded the riots and lawlessness which were falsely labeled peaceful protests. So we shouldn't have to ask ourselves, "Baby Where Did Our Love Go?"

I'd like to believe of those 'useful idiots' engaged in the resistance, if they knew and understood the forces lying in wait to destroy the US, that they would stop the stupidity immediately. But the reality more likely boils down to the midterms. Because as the spirit of civic responsibility demonstrated by Benjamin Franklin so aptly foretold--- 'this is a republic, if we can keep it.'

I would suggest that Madeline O’Hare, Row v. Wade, Rodney King riots...these sorts of events have forged deeper fissures and molten lava into our culture. The blue collar, beer-drinking, truck driving, country music listening, believe in God group (against abortion, resentful of the politics of race, angry at a black man lighting the White House in rainbow, etc.), coupled with evangelicals and further right of centers non-religious see the beliefs and politics of progressives and liberals as a threat to the greatness, if not survival, of this nation. Those at the left of center, see those folks and are concerned with bigotry, loss of rights, environmental destruction, etc. The one group HATES Barack Obama, the other HATES Donald Trump. And, true enough, that vitriol is, seemingly, deeper and stronger than, say Ronald Reagan or Jimmy Carter. This too shall pass. The United States will stand. The Obamas and Trumps and Clintons will fade. I believe in the United States Constitution and the balance of powers it enshrines.

Know what I believe in? I believe in not pigeon holing people, especially when you know absolutely NOTHING about them. I believe in the rights of people to have their own opinion and be able to express them. I believe in having respect for others, especially those who differ from my perspective. I believe in not bathing the White House in ANY colors, but should you choose to do so, bathe it in ALL colors. I believe in hard work, honest efforts and community service.

If you don't believe exactly as I believe, I don't have a right to bait you or talk down to you or take something you've said and reword it. I don't have the right to rephrase anything that you have stated. I do have the right to debate and have a different opinion. I would PREFER an adult conversation.

I have said things on this forum that I probably should have said differently. I have found myself on the defensive many times, when I said nothing offensively but have had my words completely changed and fed back to me.
