As of Wednesday, Harold Brashear has stepped down as Hazard Girls Basketball Coach. Hazard needs to get the right person in place with this unexpected loss.

So let me get this straight, coach Brashear wins the 54th district, he takes his team to the 14th region finals with a certain person fighting him all the way and you let him leave. Superintendent must be a genius. Lol

First question is why did he step down? Second is who are the possible replacements?

I talked to Coach Brashear and he said he loved coaching but coaching had become a small part of the job. His son is going to be a sophomore and plays football and he wants to spend time working with him and on his development.

This will be a good job on paper but not sure any good coach will want to deal with all the other stuff that will come with it. Harold done a great job and was always dealing with distractions.

I heard the superintendent has held him back the whole time he he’s been there. More than likely she is behind it. They don’t really want success if the right people are not playing.
