Great hire

No knock on this hire at all, but does Rockcastle Co., do actual searches outside of the county? Seems like everything and every hire the last several years have stayed in house.

I'd imagine that in the community, the name Cash is just as, if not more, synonymous with success in basketball than anyone else that you could realistically find.
Just pure speculation here, and I'm not going to even pretend to know the specifics in this case, but lots of high school jobs come down to teaching positions available [hiring], previous ties to the program, and/or support from the community/boosters.
Asking this in earnest: in the past, have their been outside candidates that have been passed over who might have performed better?

I guess Rock knows FOR SURE what kind of person Cash is. May be why they hire in house. In house people tend to get more kids out and care more about their community than some outsiders just looking for a stepping stone job and a pay raise.

Well I was just curious, because I think with the region they are in the Rockets have a legit shot to go to the sweet 16 when its so much more difficult in the a few other regions. I would think that there are several outside candidates who would be interested because of this. Good Luck to Coach Cash!!!
