Our boy Grizzle isn’t gonna make the cut for the Ironton job

Not so sure itâs Fred Ray will get the job or take the job , I know 3 weeks ago he was suppose to be headed to cable midland to run their offense

Unless I am thinking of another spot isn't that small?

The softball field next to the JFL field is big. Not big enough for a regulation size field, but close.

I was wrong Santa didnât bring any new faces to Ramland it was the Easter Bunny , silly me

Lots of hard work being done. Raceland saw what it takes to get to the carpet. Have to build on it now.

You better hurry nut before they head to Paintsville your arch rivals because they just picked up one from LCA and he is a good athlete

Paintsville is goina need more than one to be able to beat Pikeville, Hazard, or Raceland. A few years ago they got Belcher and the burner from Huntington and it wasnt enough. The Rams will be much better offensively this year and the defense will likely be just as good as it was last year. I think its Racelands district to lose.

I am with you Scotty it is definitely going to a up hill battle for them to come to Raceland and win with the team you guys have coming back but in saying what I said before just wanted to let the Rams fans know what went on. I have a lot of respect for Raceland and their fans so I said it, thatâs it. Good luck and as always go PANTHERS!!!

Paintsville will also be better than they were last year. Letâs not forget that last year Paintsville was about 10 yards from a potential FG to force OT and had 100% of the momentum. Raceland scored 17 points in the first half and maybe had 17 yards in the second half of offense.
Paintsville returns a very solid core on both sides.

I know you think Paintsville is the beast from the east but Iâm sorry With what Raceland has coming back and what theyâve already added and more additions to come they are going to be scary good

Itâs going to be a war in the east this year but I am sorry NUT but there is more than one beast in the east
04-20-2018, 09:13 PM
I’m not sure the “beast” is I’m the east!! There is Beechwood then the rest....they are head and shoulders above the rest of the competition
04-20-2018, 09:20 PM
The beecchies graduated 13 seniors but they have some studs coming back next year
04-20-2018, 09:24 PM
Beechwood is always good , but if Raceland is lucky enough to make it back to Lexington this year it will be a lot more competitive, the offense will be able to throw this coming year and should be a lot more opened up
04-20-2018, 09:31 PM
True Beechwood is the #1 team in 1A but in 2014 Belfry was the #1 team in 3a and Pikeville beat them and the same year Pikeville beat Paintsville bad and in the playoffs Paintsville beat Pikeville so it goes to show anything can happen in any given day. I donât think they will be as good as they where last year but yes they will be good but I think one of the teams in the east might win this year at least I hope so
04-21-2018, 03:52 AM
Another thing Beechwood has in their favor is the team that comea put of the east, 9 timea out of 10 has been in atleast 2 dogfights the previous 2 weeks. Us poor and lowly mtn and eky folk just beat the hell out of each other u til theres one left stamding lol

Beechwood's toughest test last year came from the West, not the East. KCD was the 2nd best team in 1A. That game was 14-7 at the half and Beechwood pulled away in the 2nd half. They were hands down the best team that Beechwood played in the playoffs last year.

Tbh, i have to agree. Im proud of my rams for making it there, but I think KCD was probably better than the top teams out of the east last year. Next year is a whole different ball game. Lot of big factors are going to make the top dogs in the east much more competitive imo.

I agree with the part that the east will more competitive this year in the finals but donât agree KCD was the second best team in 1A nobody can compare scores and tell until they meet head to head. If you are comparing scores Williamsburg beat KCD by 20 so would that make them the 4th or 5th best team in 1A. I personally donât think you can compare scores and tell and they may have been the 2nd best but we donât know. Even in certain games teams lose but when they play again the other team wins show us that on even given night what can happen. Most of the time yes the better team wins but it canât be taken for granted. At least on that night they were the better team, but with that said go PANTHERS!!!

KCD lost 2 games last year, to Beechwood and LCA, they didn't play Williamsburg. I'm not sure what you are referring to. KCD was the 2nd best team in 1A. Hazard would have been if injuries didn't derail them. Injuries derailed Beechwood in 2015, unfortunately they are part of the game and impact 1A schools more than others. You are correct, you can't compare scores, but you can evaluate teams, and KCD was number 2 in 1A.
04-21-2018, 08:50 PM
My reason for saying KCD was number 2.
KCD was far more balanced than Raceland on offense. They could run it and throw. Raceland was one dimensional with a power running game. If that didn't work, they were in deep trouble on offense, as evidenced by what happened against Beechwood.
Raceland was a little better defensively than KCD, especially against the run, but KCD had better pass defense. Raceland sold out to stop the run against Beechwood, and Beechwood nickel and dimed them to death through the air. A good passing game was gonna give Raceland problems, and once again that reared its head against Beechwood.
KCD had far more speed than Raceland as well. These are just my thoughts and evaluations.
I will agree that top to bottom the East was deeper this year, but it's false to assume that Beechwood had a walk to the finals while the teams in the East beat each other up.
Now, as far as this coming year, I would say that the East will be far tougher than the West from top to bottom, but if they re-seed the final four like they are saying, then we could have some interesting semi final matchups.

Pikeville has everyone back and on paper is probably going to be everyone's pick out of the east, but Raceland has quite a bit back and got a taste of the finals last year and will be hungry to get back. Also, Hazard and Paintsville can't be counted out either. The East will be a battle for sure, and I will enjoy watching it play out this year.

Your right and I was wrong but they beat Frankfort by 7 and thatâs who Williamsburg beat by 20. Sorry about that but still donât think you can go by scores.
