Strongest player at your school
#1
Who is the strongest player on your team? Some "max" numbers would be great:Thumbs:
#2
Wilson Kelly DT (2020) 6'2" 305lbs

1,100lb Club - 3 lifts (squat, bench power cling)......whatever that means?

All 3 added together. We used to take those and maybe incline bench, I can’t remember and divide it by your weight to get the strongest

Easy...
Prestonsburg..Jeremy Caudill
He held several records for a long time including state power lifting record of over 1,100 pounds combined bench/dead lift.... benched over 400, squat 700, dead lift around 700 and power clean over 400.. he was crazy strong for a high school player

He was a freak of nature.

I lift my weights 12 ounces at a time and it gets alittle lighter after each lift

Yea, he was..Most people would never believe a person that age could lift that kind of weight had his numbers not been so well documented in lift comps and his stats going into UK..

Team Results from Powerlifting Meet 2018:

McLean County totaled 49 points to win their first state powerlifting title. McCracken County and Perry County Central tied for second place with 37 points. Hopkinsville, which had won six straight state titles, finished eighth.

Powerlifting is like cheerleading. There are multiple "state championship" events. Are you referring to the one at Central Hardin Saturday?
St X won a "state" championship 2 weeks ago somewhere.
#10
A 400 lb power clean!!!! All of Caudill's records are impressive but that is crazy. I believe it but I'd like to see that on video. Kid was a freak of nature.
#11
Caudill started at UK to didnt he?

I can see that. 500-525 squat, 275-300 on bench and clean each. Good varsity players, especially line play, should be in the neighborhood of 1,000 lb+. 450-500 squat, 250-300 bench and clean. If you have numbers in that area you can hold your own.

This is correct. But power lifting rules at meets are generally followed. These "this kid is a member of the 1000 lbs club" are loosely awarded by coaches trying to build up hype and confidence (which is not a bad thing). Just don't believe anything outside of a sanctioned event if you want the truth.

There's a kid from Hopkinsville, William Long, that's only a Freshman that competed this past weekend and he won the 250 weight class with a combined total of 585 lbs in the bench press and power clean. The kid is a freak and only 15 years old.

Belfry's Dagan Rash is a monster! Don't know what his numbers are but the kid is a beast!

Me too, he did over 300 power clean earlier in high school. Heres part of an article about his when he signed with UK.. Lists his weights going into college..

Would have to be the Fugate kid at Perry. He's won his class at every meet they've entered this season. Won the 235 class at the state meet this past Saturday. I think he cleaned 305 and benched 315. He tied for the highest clean at the meet. He has big squat numbers too. Devon Hill also won his class Saturday and puts up crazy numbers for a kid his size. Ovie posts these results on his fbook page after every meet.

Just got Belfry O-Lineman Dagan Rash's bench and power clean totals:
385 Bench/ 290 clean = 675 lbs total. Dagan will be a senior this coming year for the Pirates. He Can play anywhere on the O-Line. Started at guard every game last year. His Sophomore year he started some games at Center for Belfry and played really well. Dagans Freshman year he played for Marco Island in Florida and if I'm not mistaken he started for them the entire year. This kid is the real deal. He weighs 265 lbs, almost all of it muscle. The way he fires off the ball is something to see. Not only is he a good athlete the young man is also a wizard in the classroom. Don't know his GPA but I do know that he's got a couple of interesting letters from Ivy League schools for football and academics. Great young man.
