The government should outlaw lobbyist. It is a legal way to buy political officials

The government cannot and should not outlaw lobbyists. The Constitution guarantees Americans' right of freedom of speech and freedom of association. Outlawing the use of lobbyists to represent industries or other groups of citizens would likely be struck down before the question ever reached the Supreme Court

The only problem with lobbyists is the large number of crooked elected officials that we send to Washongton and crooked politicians will always find a way too abuse their power and line their own pockets.

Misconception can be a noisome and lasting detriment to the people. The article below gives some measure of insight into how lobbyists likely got their "slimy" and largely unjustified reputations.

The revolving door between politics and lobbying firms should not come as a shock to anybody, but organizations like the NRA and the KCA do a lot of good work. It is my belief that politicians corrupt more lobbyists than vice versa.

Politicians love to demonize lobbyists on the campaign trail, but lobbying is the second career of choice for many of those same politicians when they lose elections or decide to retire.

I love seeing crooked lobbyists sent to prison almost as much as I enjoy seeing politicians caught abusing their power placed in cages. Too many of them escape justice while getting filthy rich scamming the public.

I had a lobbyist who was a friend and he would tell me the stuff him and his other friend lobbyist would do and it was basically buying elected officials why do you thing these big pharmaceutical companies spend millions and millions of dollars for lobbyists to do what they do. these drug companies and other companies know what they are doing with that money. If it was an honest way to do business then it probably wouldn't cost that much

What you are describing is a crime. Why don't you turn your friend in?

Crooked politicians have done a great job convincing voters that lobbyists are the root of all evil and at the same time growing wealthy shaking down those same lobbyists to finance their campaigns and to fatten their personal net worths. It is sad to watch so many American voters fall for such scams over and over.
