Andrew Taylor snubbed by media?
Bossdaddy 4115 Wrote:You know the c for W C stands for cult, the C in Corbin stands for champion
The C in Corbin stands for something that I can't say on here
Rainingthrees Wrote:Stewart comes from lca because parent gets a postal job that opens up! Apparently there wasn't any qualified people living in Corbin for this position Smile

Probably had something to do expierence, you can’t give that type of job to someone off the street.
pjdoug Wrote:I liked the recent Tubby Smith rant about players transferring saying it is teaching them to quit. He asked his father if he could transfer while he was in school , and he told him no, but he could join the army.

If tubby were offered a better job today, he would be gone tomorrow. If you were offered a better job today, you'd be gone tomorrow. If I were offered a better job today, I'd be gone tomorrow. Loyalty to the organization is dead, and the organizations killed it. The second it helps the bottom line, companies lay people off, cut pensions, and slash benefits. Too many people have seen their fathers stay loyal do the organization for 50 years and in return they got a slashed retirement, a pat on the back, and a watch. Smart people pursue what sets them up to be the most successful in life. Smart parents pursue what sets their kids up to be the most successful in life. You cannot hold kids down because of their last name, or make a conscious effort to refuse to put time and money into half your programs and expect kids to stay. They're smart and they know when there is a better opportunity for them out there.
Bossdaddy 4115 Wrote:I will admit the Stewart kid was a blessing, I guess most of you think we had something to do with them coming and not a promotion right. Now the federal government is helping with the Corbin recruitment trail.

Yea, a blessing lol.

I work for the Federal Govt, in Lexington actually. Getting on with the Fed is just as much who you know as it is anywhere else. It’s not like the US Senate votes on who becomes the worker bees.
KYHoopsFan71 Wrote:You mean it wasn’t Corbin’s wonderful test scores, theater program and bass fishing team that pulled Stewart from LCA?

Of course nobody was qualified for that job, unless said parent had a son that was more skilled.

Funny how that works out.

Yep, because the federal government called Coach P to see who he wanted them to hire. Give me a break.
KYHoopsFan71 Wrote:Corbin sweetened their own pot. Quit with the argument that kids/ parents are bettering themselves. I know of two kids in recent memory who were told they would get playing time under Jewell. Didn’t quite work out like that.

I guess they weren’t good enough to better themselves lol

Then You haters should form a group to end reciprocating agreement, and then the families will just move to Corbin. May help the housing market in Corbin. I could tell you the sky is green and it is your choice to believe it or not.

I'm sure they had to travel to Lexington to find a person with experience Confusednicker:

Never said it was, he may have some pull being Mr Stewart. I am pretty sure they have family in the area, and wanted to be transferred into the area. Either way they made the choice to come to Corbin, no one forced them. But yes he has been a blessing to our program hope that two or three more fall our way.
Bossdaddy 4115 Wrote:You know the c for W C stands for cult, the C in Corbin stands for champion

Everyone outside of Corbin knows what it stands for in our eyes and it's not champion Confusednicker:

good idea. time to end the agreement.

To be honest I thought he transferred with Social Security office, but postal job is federal also.

of course he has family in the area, and is originally from there. lol
pjdoug Wrote:good idea. time to end the agreement.

Rally the troops, Corbin needs a boost in home sells and new construction.
pjdoug Wrote:I'm sure they had to travel to Lexington to find a person with experience Confusednicker:

It was an exhaustive search.

It involved a 30 minute phone call.
pjdoug Wrote:of course he has family in the area, and is originally from there. lol

I believe my mother in law showed them houses, and they do have family in the area I just can’t recall if it is the moms or dads side. Instead of getting on here bashing someone go directly to them and ask them, don’t be cowards and rant on the internet.
Single Wing 77 Wrote:Yep, because the federal government called Coach P to see who he wanted them to hire. Give me a break.

Working for the Federal Govt is not that difficult. What, you think the jobs are congressional appointees? All it takes is a matching job skill and patience to navigate their terrible USAJobs application procedure and months long background check.

I work for the VA and know how it works. You give me a break.
Rainingthrees Wrote:Everyone outside of Corbin knows what it stands for in our eyes and it's not champion Confusednicker:

wrong, jealousy dictates what most in the tri county area think of Corbin.

Knox ended the reciprocal agreement with Corbin a few years ago, then after getting inundated with calls from homeowners who lived in all of the new subdivisions just outside of Corbin that are in the Knox District threatening to petition the State to be moved into the Corbin District, the Knox Board changed their minds. They did not want to risk losing all of those property tax dollars that would have switched districts if those areas were switched to Corbin's School District. Now they have an agreement that caps the number of Knox District kids who can go to Corbin at 405 I believe.

I’m sure there will always be a few “blessings” that will fall in Corbin’s lap.

Nobody’s making personal attacks. You’re just offended that people are calling you on your bs

I didn’t say it was that difficult, didn’t say trump had to sign off on it either. So you need to give me a break, as do most other jobs they have internal postings and if it gets filled internal first they don’t have to post it external.
KYHoopsFan71 Wrote:Nobody’s making personal attacks. You’re just offended that people are calling you on your bs

Only bs here is that we are going door to door, our program speaks for its self. transfers come to Corbin we don’t have to go get them
KYHoopsFan71 Wrote:I’m sure there will always be a few “blessings” that will fall in Corbin’s lap.

Yep, just like andrew griffin.

And you sir are speaking the truth and the subdivisions was established during the aggrement.

I'm sure it involved lots of sneaky snakes slithering around whispering in people's ears :eyeroll:
I really don’t get a person from laurel actually complaining. They use to change out kids with north, Jackson, and clay like dirty socks.

Can your mother in law help me find a small piece of land for about $1,000?
