Heard from a good source that the Cabell Midland coach decided not to come but they're still offering it to him hoping he will change his mind. Ridiculous.Give it to Ovie, he's there everyday right now, working on strength and conditioning. The boys want him as their coach.

Ovie done a lot to get the kids going at Perry he earn his stripes give him a shot. I dont think no one else is interested,I heard from another source that they were going to try to contact someone else I not going to say any names to get rumors started.

Looks like this has been dragging on to me as well. Tough pill to swallow for the old boy (Ovie) unless things are happening behind the scenes unannounced. If Salmons is gonna come back to Kentucky for this job, and I was a Perry administrator, I'd be getting a little concerned. And if I were Mr. Canady then I'd be getting galled in the back part of my Fruit of the Looms waiting for an answer one way or another. Not doing the old boy right unless plans have been established and a lot of people are holding their cards close.

Maybe they are looking for or needing a change. Perry District opponents--offensive average points the last three years. 2015 (43 ppg), 2016 (53 ppg), 2017 (37ppg) Coach Salmons is a great guy and a great coach would be worth begging him if the result is he comes. Midland Region the last three years. 2015 (13ppg), 2016 (21ppg), 2017 (30ppg).

I always hated seeing a coach string a team along for a raise, seemed like Lute Olsen did that anytime UK was looking for a BB coach. I don't know the guy, but from what I've read on here, I'm team Ovie all the way!!! Go Ovie!!!

Well, that comment right there just proved that you've never been to a practice. He's on the field the whole entire time, placing players and coaching them. Not only is he there on the field for the entire high school practice, his
5-6 grade team always practices after the high school. You need to come on down to a practice. Stop by and watch lifting and conditioning sometime.

The boys went today and won the Bath Co. lift meet. Out if 12 teams, they placed 1st. He must be doing something right.

Everytime I been to practice. Larkey and Paul Chaney was out on the field getting stuff ready for practice while Ovie was in the shade on the bench in front of the field house on his phone. I agree he was out there with the 5-6 doing there practice because he didn't have know one out there to do it for him. I don't need to stop by and watch the weigh lifting because I guarantee he is sitting down in the chair on his phone. He has a lot to prove honey.

I was contacted today about all the negative comments toward Ovie Canady. They were concerned this could effect his reputation. I agree. So, I asked the opinions of other moderators and administrators. That is why I have deleted the negative posts and posts that copied those negative posts.

Be warned, I will delete all negative posts against Coach Canady unless they are proven.

BigBallerBand, you were BY FAR the one who posted the most negativity about Coach Canady. It is clear that you have an agenda and are posting false statements and some out and out lies. You have stated that the coaching change will be announced on this day and that day.....never happened. Also, that contracts were faxed back and forth and is a done deal......never happened.
