Corbin 75 Knox Central 60
#61
Lol. I would guarantee that no Knox kid is going to Corbin. They would be banned from Knox County for life.
#62
I still wanna hear from Leader on this game. He’s out there, he posted on the Turner winning player of the year thread. As a totally neutral observer watching this one, I just thought Corbin played so much better, simple as that. They were loose and relaxed and just played. No blame it on officials, no this or that, just a pretty thorough beat down.

They may want to be banned from Knox

Yeah, it really wasn't even close. And it's probably the best team you'll see out of Knox for a long time.

My first time seeing Knox this year. All I'd heard was how good they are in transition yet Corbin killed them in transition. Knox looked like a 1 man team to me.

Still no Leader?
#71
Sounded like this one was one-sided from the get go.

It's the Knox central way. They talk smack secretly hoping that this is the year when they achieve something real. When they inevitably fall short they do one of two things. Blame it on something outside their control, or crawl under a rock. Last year it was a close game so they used the blame game, this year it wasn't close so they are currently licking their wounds in some dark, damp nook and hoping nobody will realize that their gone. That's just the difference in programs, Knox is great when their is no pressure, but when the cards are down they fold. I have no idea what the rumors are as far as transfers go, I honestly don't care either. If someone does end up putting on the red and gray next year, rest assured they'll be better for it though.

And what’s crazy is all I’ve read on here is all about how Corbin was a 1 man team, Corbin was dealing with too much drama. Corbin only played 1 man ball. All you had to do was shut down one guy for Corbin and you’d win. Hmm...

Ironic, isn't it?

I was honestly hoping to hear from some KC fans today about yesterday's contest. I wanted to hear an honest assessment about what went wrong. Was Corbin just better? Was it Patterson's failure to adequately adjust after halftime? KC seemed more like a one-man team yesterday more so than any other game this season. While Pietrowski is good about taking away what the opponent does best, I thought KC seemed defeated at halftime. They came out in the second half without any new answers and they just didn't match Corbin's energy. Is it possible to get an honest assessment from the side who came up short yesterday?
#76
Not a KC fan. However, KC’s transitional defense was terrible. I lost how many times they got creamed when Corbin would push. Never saw any adjustments in the second half. Corbin’s halfcourt d was good, really disrupted the Panthers.

I thought KC could make a run coming out of the locker room, but Corbin matched the intensity and margin of points. Game essentially over by mid third quarter.

Good assessment.

Pj is safe this round not a Whitley boy but a burg kid. And he wasn’t recruited just wants to better himself from what the dad was telling me.

Can the kid play some roundball?
#81
Yes and also a great football player. He is tough and will benefit both teams if he for sure comes.

Sounds good. Thank you, Boss.

That press Patterson tried in the second half was a huge fail also.

Lol they are regrouping at the moment when they return they will have some excuses and will probably give us an update on some coaching changes in all sports at Corbin cause they are in the know.

Congrats my man! But you guys winning is expected especially with the recruiting budget you guys have.

That's rich considering everything Knox did to get certain kids from barbourville city.

Plus KCs one on one offense was the reason Corbin transition D was so effective. One player tried to dribble the length of floor without passing the ball ahead, no fast break points when that happens. Every time KC/one player shot the ball corbin sent one early and the rest was history. No coaching equals not ready to play in the big games. Coach’s can’t do it all but they should at least be able to game plan. KC was lost from start to finish. Amazing with the talent they have. One on one selfish players can’t win championships, KC has been trying to do it for years. Sad.
