I'll be there plenty early, I'll get as close to the floor as possible. Should be a fun environment. Hope SL brings the fans Friday night.

Proud of our young men, it hurts to see them play a game they love and then its over in one night. The seniors are great kids and wish them the best in their futures.

It donât take a genius to figured that one out pjdoug. I been living in the 13th now for 19yrs now. Pretty much all of them at one time or another. :pondering:

64 you need to change that avatar to a 13th region avatar. I say that with due respect because you do support most all schools. That puppy just isnât cutting it. Much to bias, lol.

Just a side note( I knew it was bad but not this bad) read in the paper Whitley 37 fouls and Corbin 17. Home cooking at its finest. Just thankful our girls played far enough ahead to keep that from happening to them. Bring home the title Whitley.

What a joke. Only way they can make it.

Corbin wonât get home cooking at the Arena next week. Thankfully 13th region officiating will rotate to a different region.
As for the game,South is playing better, but it wouldnât surprise me if they lose a close one to Corbin.
I feel that if it comes down to the Cards and the Hounds in the region, SL will advance

Should have different region officials for district tournament also not just for the region tournament.

A shout out to Mr. Corey Johnson. You are a special player , young man. One of the best long distance shooters I've seen in a long time. It's been a pleasure to watch you play.

It's always interesting listening to people complain about referees. Quite frankly, I think all of the talk about "home cooking" works to Corbin's advantage. Teams come in expecting to have to battle 5 on 8. Psychologically, many teams are at a disadvantage from the start. The head official last night is from Pineville. He is one of the best up and coming refs I have seen this year. I think the other two men were from Harlan. The home cooking thing is a myth. Whitley had more fouls called on them(you ready for this???)... because they fouled more, especially late in the game when they were trying to play catch up.

Any reason to think that region officials would favor Corbin? Of course not...
I think officials do their best to call a fair game. The head official calling the Corbin-Whitley game is an outstanding official. No shenanigans taking place last night...

Which calls did you not agree with? When a team gets behind they typically start fouling when a team holds it.

Corbin wasn't holding it.

I don't know how much was home cooking or just bad officials. 2 of the 3 officials that done the Corbin game, couldn't make a call without the coach calling it for them. Both officials have been doing it a long time, but 80% of their calls was influenced by the coaches. The younger of the 3 actually looked more poised and stayed out of the way.
As far as the South-Williamsburg game, you couldn't really screw it up too bad. But I do hope they don't use any of the 6 that was there tuesday for the championship game, except for maybe the younger guy in the Corbin game.

The oldest guy of the three in the Corbin game is one of the worst around here IMO. Seems like he lets the crowd/coaches/momentum dictate the calls. 13th isnât known for having the best officials

Every Corbin fan I know prefers that officials out of the 13th region call the games.

Have a family reunion instead of scattering cousins.
