Pikeville has been playing with better effort but they are in a major shooting slump. And pike central got a big upset but the mounts kid has no class what so ever. Go down the Pikeville side flipping all the fans off. You just beat your cross town rival you didnât win a state championship.

Whose this kid think he is? Baker Mayfield
Now the talk is going to be about you doing this instead of the great time win you all got.

This doesn't surprise me at all! Shame the coach didn't bench him. :flush:

Never heard about that completely classless. Mounts us a great scorer but like sportsfan67 said it's your cross town rival that you just beat ( first time in many years might I add) and they was without Byers so dont get too cocky

I'm not sure what you all are talking about?
I was at the game, and after the game concluded he did a bunch of hand waving gestures towards the Pikeville pep section, but he did not flip them off.
----
As for the game, it was a absolute war. These 2 teams have had some very entertaining games and I wouldn't mind seeing a possible rubber match in the region tournament.

I was also at the game and yes he was waving his hands while flipping them off.

Makes a potential rematch very interesting. Little gasoline on the fire.

HAHA Are we really upset over a kid flipping off a rival pep section? And no I am not from Pike Central.

I always look at the whole picture and if it would have been someone from pikeville do that I would still say its poor class. And there were abunch of youth teams and there middle school teams there last night being recognized and those players really look up to the high school players. And when they see the so called star player go and doing something like that it just bothers me. Being good in sports is not everything I also in believe in being a good person. And you see too much of this type of nonsense going on now a days. You made some big plays down the stretch and got the big win. Be happy about it and celebrate but not like that. I actually liked seeing there student section rush the floor because you don't have too many good student sections these days either and I would of rather seen him go celebrate with them instead of doing what he did. I wish these players would be better role models and not be all about themselves.

I saw someone snap video solely of Christian postgame and at no point did I witness any middle fingers.
Agree to disagree I guess lol.

I sure hope not because the kids a baller and hate to see him get a bad reputation and I know how heated games like this can get but you got to keep your emotions in check.

I too was at the game....and yes, he did flip everyone off with both hands. I lost all respect for that kid after seeing that. If a video of it gets out, then he just sealed his fate, as far as any college making him an offer to play basketball. People on here acting like itâs nothing need to reacess their value system and morals. If my kid had done that, I would have led him off the court by the hair on his head.

Pikeville is still my pick to win the region.

Good thing for him is itâs all hear-say because no one has video of it.

I don't agree with what he did but I also know this young man is still a KID! Kids do things all the time that are goofy and they regret. Considering we see things a lot worse than this and the KIDS still get major scholarships. Im sure this isn't going to get every scout running in the opposite direction.

I think the concern would be, that if an athlete does something like this when things were going good, how would the response be when things arenât going good.

If Mounts did do that, shame on him. However, shame on the Pikeville pep section for yelling at their players to âkick his a%*â against one of PCâs players. Do you call that class? Kids are kids and they ALL do NUMEROUS stupid things! Does it make it right? No! But donât cast stones at Mounts when there was inappropriate behavior on Pikevilleâs side as well.
