Cody Abshire by far this kid has the potential to be the next great player at east ridge.....i watched him play a couple games as a freshman and he can score at will from anywhere.......

Josh Thacker wear #44 last year for ERHS... He was pretty good... He will be a really good player for the next 3 years for ERHS... He average about 19.6 pts, 12.2 rbs., 6.2 ats. while a freshman... Michael Rowe and Mark Bartley will be really good next year as Juniors... I think ERHS will be really good when their seniors and Thacker is a Junior...

I agree when Josh Thacker is a senior and Cody ABshire develops that will make a run at state again....They will be an awsome duo.....

I would have to say Ian Welch for JCHS. He really hustled the other night in their first round game. I think next year he will only get stronger.

I agree with you broken card Ian Welch will only get stronger he is already a good player...
03-17-2006, 03:54 PM
Josh Prater from Allen Central.

nO tHACKER'S STATS WERE freshman league only. Ian Welch is really good... Then you have Jones from Belfry, Harmon from Pikeville and as for Cody Abshire... he needs to work on his ball handling and did he even start on their freshman team... and how many games did East Ridges freshman team win last year? Shelby Valley7 won the league. Micheal Boyd from PCC is good but needs to work on his jumper.

Thacker has got awhole lot better since freshman league... He scored 18pts, 5ast., 14rebs., 4blks. in the freshman league tournment... He just didn't have anyone else to help him... Ian Welch couldn't even stop him on the block... He was the only one from ER to score in double figures ever game...

D.May from Belfry

Matt Clevenger and Josh Prater are the only 2 kids I saw getting any descent time at the varsity level so i would have to say them
03-21-2006, 12:34 AM
the three best players i think is the prater boy if he can get stronger and Ian welch and Justin porter
03-21-2006, 12:36 AM
I heard SF has a pretty good point guard that will be a soph. this year

As for Cody Abshire's ball handling it may need a little work but this kid has nothing but potential if he can learn to use it.......He so explosive off the ball and has a quick first step and can step out and shoot the ball in your face..........I've seen him come off the bench and have better games than the starters.......
commments????
