Boyle County vs. Corbin (3A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP)
They did and are a very well disciplined team. Number 14 for them is an athlete with a ton of heart both sides of the ball. He was fun to watch.

How embarrassing for you. I've never had to contact Granny Bear, Gut, Spud, Pulp, etc to correct my mistakes on here, not that I've ever made any.

I have many time. Confusednicker:
Hatz Wrote:If I've added right on KHSAA, Corbin has 14 Interceptions and 12 Fumble recoveries on Defense on the year.

They have given it away on 9 fumbles and 5 Interceptions.

That's 26 Takeaways to 14 Giveaways for a +12 in that category. Impressive as well. It seems that both teams value the football a lot.

Here a little more information Corbin has return 4 interceptions for a touchdown and 4 fumbles for touchdown :Cheerlead Checkmate :Cheerlead

Didn’t know it was a competition. I was stating data to look at and compare.
Hatz Wrote:Unless someone's not reporting on KHSAA I have Boyle with the following in the giveaway/takeaway count.

Boyle has lost 4 Fumbles all year. Lanter has thrown 4 interceptions all season.

The Rebel Defense has 23 Interceptions on the season and 15 Fumble recoveries.

That would be 38 takeaways and 8 giveaways for a +30 in the turnover department. Wow.

Boyle County 6 interceptions for a touchdown and 1 fumble return for a touchdown

I was giving you more data to compare. Confusedmoke:
Man these teams are almost evenly matched, even if one appears more than the other in certain areas they make up for it in another. Or the stats are skewed because both teams have had several blow outs and I'm sure the JV has been in on a lot of it. IM JACKED. Its only Tuesday......... What the heck are we supposed to do until Friday? I've been playing one-on-one football in the living room with my boy just to try to get it out of my system. Its not working. Can we have a BGR flag football game in Richmond? hahaha.

I don't think the KSHAA or the fans could ask for a better matchup in the title game. I wish we would have got to play Belfry somewhere on our road to Kroger- because we owe those guys a couple- but it just wasn't meant to be. I've said it before on this thread, and I'll say it again. This game will be the best of the weekend, on the field and the stands. I thought it would be the marquee game if not for St. X/Trinity, but listening to some others, I've heard St. X fans might not show up in force because of their chances. So I'd say this will be the best atmosphere this weekend.

If anyone gets burnt out on this before Friday, let me know. Ill get PJdoug to get some fire lit under ya!
Everything on here is a competition..... c’mon! So you were sharing data to show your ratios, and how it’s almost twice as high as the other team. The way I see it that’s not much of a comparison. 64Sur shows data that doesn’t compare to your team and its now a competition to see who’s best... Too funny!
footballfever Wrote:They aren’t selling endzone or upper level. I’m hoping they will at least let you move and sit in endzones.

I thought the west endzone would be open.

That's kinda what I was thinking. You are comparing two teams who are COMPETING. So yea, it kind of is a competition haha. If it wasn't then there would be no use for a reply button. Someone would make a statement, and there would be no debate or rebuttal for it. That's kinda the purpose for message boards like this, to discuss the teams/players and debates, which is basically a competition. Not being a smart@ss, I just don't know any other way to put it Hatz. I doubt ya care, but I still like ya
Bossdaddy 4115 Wrote:Well instead of being a pj go to ticket master and look at each game reserved section and grey means sold, blue still available. There are only probably 30 seats in reserved and my statement about the other tickets is actually correct also. The traditions of both programs are going to pack a crowd, do I honestly think we are going to sell it out no I don’t it was a joke. I was told they are going to try and get more. I believe someone said they bought there’s at the school, whoever it was was there not a bunched turned away and it like Black Friday. Several kids said it was crazy the people there. Hats off to two fine programs getting the crowds out is all my post was intended for. I am sure Boyle will pack the house aswell after seeing the crowd they brought a month ago.

I wouldn't expect to see Commonwealth Stadium filled to capacity
Hound05 Wrote:Yea I know. I heard they did get turned away but I got mine and got out before they sold out. I might have to take a nerve pill to keep calm the whole week. The crowd and atmosphere is gonna be electrifying. Like I said earlier, you could probably get away with murder in corbin on Friday night. Hopefully thought, the only murdering will take place on the field.

I have one nerve left...

Corbin also had 13 different receivers to catched a pass this season.
Boyle also had 10 different receivers to catched a pass this season

The depth is what makes these teams so good. not to mention the coaching .. it should be a great game.
It should be a fantastic game! I can’t believe I have read 11 pages since Saturday! Says a ton about the fan love for their teams! That being said go rebs, but as always hope for an injury free game. Will be a war and look forward to watching the talent on the red hounds. That’s what I enjoy, seeing KY talent no matter the team.
Should be a hell of a game. I'm hoping for a Boyle/Rockcastle type state game but I'm afraid I'm gonna see a Boyle/Lone Oak type game.

I bet Lone Oak could beat McCracken County Confusednicker:

Of course what’s funny is 64 then pointed out Boyle has returned seven for TD’s. One difference. It was a wash. If you want to compete on those stats the checkmate goes to Boyle.

8 defense TDS for corbin. 7 for Boyle.

It’s really a wash. One difference coupled with the turnover margin is a wash.
How many special team TD’s for each team and the big one 3rd down conversion %.
footballfever Wrote:How many special team TD’s for each team and the big one 3rd down conversion %.

I don’t know about special teams, but I’d love to see the 3rd % for both. Off. and defensive.
How many times has Chuck Smith lost a state championship game? Smile
