Ashland looking to prove first win was not a fluke. After starting season 1-2 with losses to a very good West Virginia team and Harlan County who is playing next Friday for a regional championship the Kittens have rolled off 9 straight wins. They need to play with a chip on their shoulder and exorcise the JC demon. JC was big favorites in their first trip to the Putnam litter box. They have to realize Ashland is very good and can end their season. Taking the Eagles by 3.

Ashland took advantage of just about every JC miscue. Can't be upset when you make mistakes and the other team makes you pay for it. Our performance that night wasn't championship level football on any level. The following week vs. Belfry, we played much better... but still fell short. Mason County & Scott weren't the best teams we've played, but our effort on both sides of the ball are impressive.

Unless Ashland has another lopsided edge in turnovers, Johnson Central will win this game going away. I predict that JC will have 500+ total yards in the rematch and score at least 40 points. I don't believe that Ashland's offense is capable of keeping pace with the Golden Eagles if turnovers are not a factor.

JC knows what it takes to lose now, that being said “eye” can’t see them making the same mistakes unforced. They seemed out of sorts having to play a full four quarters in a tight game. They are powerful, but “eye” saw some very vulnerable spots in their game. Ashland will not hand them the game by any means but JC will have to make the same mistakes if not more for ashland to pull it off a second time. (Eye am using the word eye in reference to the letter that my stupid eye phone won’t let me use lol)

I believe this may be the best game Fri night. I was really surprised that Ashland pulled the fits one out, can they do it again? Being at Putnam, I think they def haveShot but we shall see if lightning can strike twice.
