Lawrence County 48 Sheldon Clark 8
#1
Dawgs with the running clock late in 1st half. Aside from having the opening kickoff returned for a td called back on a block in the back, it was a pretty clean game which was nice to see.

Schs not ready for district play this year. They field a young team tho only 6 upper classmen on the field Should be a better match up the next couple years.

Congrats to Lawrence County.

I'm excited to see what this Baden Gillespie kid can bring to the table for LC. Only a freshman but seems like he has an explosive factor that can't really be taught. He looked awesome in the scrimmage against Pikeville and last night when he scored that TD.

I agree. I think he will be that quick-twitch rb LC has been missing for quite a few years. I think he will have a great future.

Lawrence County has a nice stable of young backs. A couple freshman and 8th graders. I don't think skill positions will be a problem for them in the next few years.

I've thought that was one of LCS issues over the last few years. Seems like they always have a good corps of FBS and a Mobil QB with a a decent arm and some tallent at WR. But they have been lacking real speed at the Rab position. That change of pace back that can stretch the field a little from sideline to sideline.
