It's been a while, but I have become so much more enlightened lately as to truth and what really is the problem in our society. It's these rich, greedy business owners taking in big bucks while their employees practically sit back and starve with low wages and (pre-Obamacare) bad insurance.
I think of a great quote by Franklin Roosevelt - "No American citizen ought to have a net income, after he paid his taxes, of $25,000 a year." Up that to the $75,000 - $100,000 range today. The tax rates for the rich are only around 20% percent in federal taxes. Lower that more for those that make six figure salaries. More like 10%.
The government is not the problem. It's these greedy upper middle class and rich business owners that line their own pockets with $80,000+ per year in salary. We need more government intervention to regulate businesses. Take a look at the hero in NY that took a lower salary to help his employees, who make the same as him. We need more of that.

It's sad to see that so many people here love the rich and hate the poor.

You're guaranteed the pursuit of happiness and prosperity in this country. Not the guarantee of it.
If you don't like what your making, start your own business, find a new job, move, etc.
While it would be nice to have more pay and a better wage, socialism and redistribution of wealth is never the answer.
I also had a professor tell me something to that effect. I called him a communist and transferred out of his class.

Gosh, everything this professor told me is coming into fruition. Why did you leave the class? Was it because of fear of being exposed to new ideas?
You have to go through this with an open mind and develop a dialogue with the person such as that professor that had a differing point of view.
Wealth redistribution is the best and only way to go. The rich will never miss it, and it will go toward helping the poor. But like I said, no one should be making past five figures.

lol, now that's a good one Granny. After going through 8 years of Obama, if you're counting on using Seger's money to buy anything, you would do well to buy enough gas to put into one of those government sponsored scooters you try to keep from running over that's running around the middle of the streets every day..nicker:

Seger claims to know a lot about business, if he does then I'm sure he would be all for a business owner paying what they owe in taxes.

I don't think liberals understand what happens when you put taxation pressure on the very rich. They move their resources off shore where Uncle Sam can't touch them. Then the tax burden of all those entitlements that Bernie and his minions crave, fall to a dwindling, and over burdened middle class.
Do you think Venezuela's upper class still has any money vested there?
