Perry Central vs Cov. Scott Sweet 16 Quarterfinals
#1
Who do you like and why?
#2
I like perry with the play of back and tobler it will be hard to press and the size down low it will be hard to drive on them
#3
Perry has to contain the Ohmer kid from Scott and they should be fine.

LET'S GO SCOTT! 14th region pulling for anyone but Perry !
#5
Ohmer got going early against Harlan. Perry will have to make sure they are ready to play from the start. If he gets 30+ then it's anyone's game. If Perry limits his touches and holds him to 20 or under they win 10+....

Picking Perry County Central in a close one.
Perry County 67
Scott 64

I think Perry needs to contain shooters and refrain from silly turnovers. If they do that, they win this one easily.

Scott didn't impress me all that much against Harlan County. I think the Black Bears came out flat and couldn't make the comeback, but you could see in the second half that Scott wasn't a much better (if at all) than the Black Bears.

As always, I'm pulling for the mountains to bring one home.

South Laurel did great last year and I look forward to Perry putting a run together.

As an avid KCC fan I'm pulling hard for PCC. So happy to see the fight Perry brought in the first game. This is very winnable. Gotta keep playing unaffaid. Anytime the 14th can make some noise we should rally. Tobler is still wanted for what he did to that player from Pikeville. Nasty.

I don't know way. everyone was pulling for Knott Co. all these year they made it. this is one of the few years were the 14th region can make a deep run to the final 4 or even the championship game. I am not a PCC fan, I would like the see the 14th region win the sweet 16 in my life time. it have been over 60 years since the 14th region have won the sweet 16, 1956 was the last year. the people in the 14th region that is not for the team from the 14th region at state. move to another region.

Picking Perry in a close one. I believe the size of Perry Co. will be to much for Scott in the end. Perry starting 5, is as big or bigger than any team at RUPP.
#12
The question is can they stop the Ohmer kid if he is hitting.. it was like NBA jam for him against Harlan county. He's on fire!!!!!
#13
I'm just hoping for some more highlight plays by Damon Tobler. The leaping ability he showed on that dunk was incredible. He also had a fantastic block too.
#14
PCC 59
Scott 42

I don't believe Scott can pull of another one. Ohmer will have trouble dropping 40 on PCC.
#15
Foul trouble will be perrys worst enemy if they get in it..

Foul trouble is not a problem for PCC. We can play 10 deep if needed. Do you not recall Tobler fouling out against Breathitt? We have a great bench

that was again Breathitt Co. a team that went 18-15 on the season. with a team like Scott tonight, BG or Scott Co. tomorrow night, I would think Fern Creek or Ballard in the championship game (if PCC keep on winning). Damon Tobler can't foul out. having a deep bench is good, but Damon is the heart of the PCC team.

Pcc should win today but season will end against Bowling green or Scott county tomorrow.
#19
Scott up 56-39 with 7:16 to play
#20
60-39 scott. Perrin made 1/2 FT's for Scott, PCC turns it over and Scott drains a 3. 6:34 to go
#21
Scott has 24 points off turnovers....Perry Central has 4
#22
Tobler and Anosike combine with 12 of Perry Central's 20 turnovers. Tobler has 7. Anosike has 5. Caudille 1, Cornett 2, Akinyemi 2

62-41 Scott
#23
Ohmer with 32 to led Scott
#24
65-42 Scott

He doesn't seem to be having any type of problem making baskets at all...already at 32 points and still over 5 mins to play
#27
Anyone got scotts fg%?
#28
The no call of the game was when they didn't call goal tending on Scott. Perry was up 6 I think then Scott goes down and hits a 3 then they call a charge on prince and Scott comes down and scores which made it a one point game. Scott did play good the second half and they didn't miss a shot in the 3rd.
#29
Scott 73-49 2:23 left

Both are shooting 50%

Scott is shooting 50% from 3 (8/16)

Perry Central is shooting 10% from 3 (1/10)

Scott 59% from FT

Perry 44% from the line

1:22 left...Scott 73-49
