I knew all the gracious concession on the part of the left was smoke. Now starts the efforts of rabid left to steal the Presidency and perpetrate the ultimate disenfranchisement in US history, (not that I believe there will be much history to remain if they are successful.) But this is how Hillary would repay Mr Trump's gracious offers of clemency. He started off with hardened resolve to go against the demands of the newly risen left. The people backed him to that end, I believe it is time to reconsider how we might go about embracing those who despise the long established conservative right.

In addition to Jill and Hill, consider Elizabeth Warren's demand to have the Trump transition team investigated. I'm not sure as to the reason, but they need to be investigated!!
Ironic, how they were demanding Trump accept the election results just a few weeks ago.

The long established right... an inaccurate statement in that one bud. The party of Lincoln is now the democratic party. Think about it before you respond, Lincoln was for a strong union, basically getting rid of states rights, people make it about slavery, but it was even then the economy. The 13th, 14th amendment saw the end of that, basically in my view knocking out the 10th amendment, Case and point Gay marriage, we can hash that out if you want to, but there is no point.
Conservative values, traditional marriage, for an example, went out the door when people voted for a man divorced 3 times for president.
Christian values went out the door when profits come before people. Taking care of the environment plays second fiddle to profits. I will gladly have that debate with you.
Economic principles went out the door when it was said to get rid of free trade. Donald Trump's calling card...which by the way I am worried about for my state of Kentucky which exports 4 billion dollars to Canada and Mexico, thanks to NAFTA.
So in my estimation there are no more established right, only power, use God, Guns, Gays, whatever it takes. Now the "conservative" party have it, and I hope it is not a repeat of 2000-2008, I hope for my state we don't follow the likes of Kansas, or any state in the South for that matter, with maybe the exception of Georgia.
What say you?
I will respond to the other interesting comments in the next post.

Gore and Bush 2000... those that live in glass houses... would not recount ballots in the sunshine state.

I am curious did you all feel the same way about the recounts in the house races here, you know we had three of them. All Republicans challenging Democrats.

I say you are filled with the misconceptions of the revisionist left. You will notice that I am usually careful to preface my use of the term conservative with the word 'traditionally.' The conservatives of today are a hollow and powerless lot by comparison to the traditionally conservative statesmen of America's illustrious past. But just because they have become feckless and neutered by their continual compromises with the left, does not mean that I am anywhere near ready to concede defeat. I refuse the embrace the leper, liberalism, especially when I know the cure is just a matter of spiritual awakening and repentance.
Past that I prefer to temper my criticisms of the candidate in question with a healthy deference to pragmatism. You say you're a Baptist. If that's the case I won't need to elaborate by way of lengthy explanation of that which I am about to say. We just elected a President. He does not therefore, need to meet the same set of character regimen that a pulpit committee may be seeking in a potential new pastor. He just has to be a good leader who loves this nation, accepts the providence of God in the general sense if not personally, respects the laws of the land and will defend the people with his entire being. If Trump does that, religious liberty and all other forms of liberty are in no further danger.

I would argue that there has never been any issue with religious liberty other than a few that have tried to force religion down everyone's throats. For an example, did you know when we added "Under God" into the pledge? As a Baptist, I do know that my denomination has done an about face within the last 40 yrs. We have always kept to ourselves on political issues, then the Southern Baptist got taken over by a few zealots, hence why the cooperative Baptist movement has become so big. A lot of folks pick and choose which verses to follow in the Southern Baptists, which makes me sick to be quite frank. When confronted, again, God, Guns, and Gays. Press Repeat. Ask any other question, God, Guns, and Gays.
I do not throw you into this group so I will as another question. I am curious who do you label as a conservative of the past...Henry Clay?

Well, there is a cure for what ails you IMHO. It's called humility.

No, it is wanting my personal religious freedom from those that want to hijack my faith... to help people to understand that I live in a secular society...that people are free under the constitution to believe how they wish as long as it does no harm to others... that we are all in this together from global standpoint and get rid of the clannish mentality when it comes to the environment, yes I mean global including China. To finally help people understand that capitalism is just a form of economics and not to be confused with Christian values. That my friend is what ails me!

You are confused. I have nearly exhausted my motivational drive to help you refine your faith. I am delighted to inform you that come January 20, 2017, globalism will take a thunderous uppercut from true fundamentalists.

Globalism has served the personal interests of our President Elect quite nicely.
The marriage of politics and religion produces a bastard hybrid. Always has. Always will.
I understand a veteran's desire to nuptualize faith and politics. In fact, such a poster has previously stated that no such thing as conscientious objection to war exists. This, indeed, is an offspring idea of an illegitimate child, the progeny of unnatural relations between faith and politics, faith and love of country, faith and partisanship.

Still doing the back stroke in the sewer and declaring it the high ground I see. How does it go again, I am limited in my view of the truth while you are on the other hand, completely objective in your cloaked aggression against the authority of God at the personal and national levels? That about right? Yeah Mohammad Ali had it right and poor old limited Justice Scalia had it wrong too according to you, who feels rightfully kindred with Ali. :dudecomeon:

If you feel that war is always "of God," that's your Constitutional right. But that's all it is.

Every once in a while you run into one of those ultra liberals who try to disguise "cowardice" with wording like "conscientiousness" for the sake of whitewashing a narrative designed to save face of a childhood idol.
I know, I know, unfathomable, but true.

Agreed. Another point would be the fact that God never suggested that His people the Jew, or the grafted Christian for that matter, were to ever back up from, appease, or otherwise placate an enemy. Nobody wants war it's true, but nobody wants to lie at the proud foot of a brutal conqueror either. No the only option for a noble people is to maintain a state of readiness and the resolve to see through an active defense should war come to their doorstep.

Are you suggesting there are no conservatives who believe Mohammed Ali was a conscientious objecter? And, be careful, because a few real stalwarts of the red sweater faith believe he fit the description.

Perhaps, were it not for SCOTUS' Clay v. United States, in which Eisenhower appointee Justice Harlan, writing for the majority, (and considered by scholars as a conservative jurist) found that Ali was, indeed, within his constitutional rights and did meet the standard for a conscientious objector.

And the pundits all said that Donald Trump could never win the GOP nomination...Then the EXPERT pundits said that Donald Trump could never be elected president..
Just because you said it and you found someone else doesn't make you or them an expert or an authority and make it so. Supreme Court justices also said that killing babies is legal. So nuff said about your red sweater wearing experts!! I'm not impressed, and I don't give a rat's patooty what color they wear? Means nothing to me.
Guess what Geraldo, my jump shot from the foul line counts just as much as your layup and your supreme court justice's tomahawk dunk.

The recounts will cost a mountain of money. I'm hearing Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. It's a ridiculous scam because in Pennsylvania for example, Trump won by 70 thousand votes.
Florida in 2008 was a different deal, only 500 votes delivered the state and the election. As the result of an exhaustive recount, Gore got only a handful of additional votes (mostly on judgment calls on hanging chads) and the results did not change. If desperate Dems could not squeeze out a mere 500 extra votes in Florida, Trump's lead is impossible to overcome in Pennsylvania. The other two states though good for the ego, don't even matter. Republicans will be extremely vigilant during the recount process I'm sure. But to your point. Stein has raised 7 million dollars in a scant few days in comparison to the 3.5 million she raised for her Presidential campaign.
Reports are already surfacing implicating George Soros as one of the major money men. You gotta wonder, at 86 how much longer he'll even feel like playing the insurrectionist. Unfortunately his years are likely to run out before his money will.

Of course, what you replied did not follow. I realize you are a veteran, most likely a caucasian. You don't believe in the concept of conscientious objection. What can one say to that? It speaks for itself. But, there is this: Justice Harlan found merit in Ali's objection based on his religious beliefs.
