Hazard @ Pikeville
#1
Hazard coming off of 2 impressive performances.
Pikeville has been playing top notch as of late.
This should be a good one, who ya got?
#2
Man this is a tough one for me after watching hazard last night. I would think Pikeville is the favorite. But I'm letting my heart make this prediction I'm going with hazard.

Hazard 42
Pikeville 41

Has potential to be a DANDY -

If Pikeville is already looking ahead to Painstville ( I don't think they will be )
I could see Hazard pulling out a W and heading to Semis - But like I said I don't think they will be.

My Prediction: Close first 2 quarters - Pikeville pulls away in the 2nd half - 36-14

Blake Charles is running the ball like a man possessed - He's gonna be hard to stop!

Pikeville 41-21

I disagree. The talent was too evenly matched last game between the two. Charles will not be much of a factor against Hazard. He isn't fast enough to hurt the defense severely. Their QB is though. He will be the one to hurt Hazard if anybody does. I don't think Pikeville's defense can hold Hazard to 14 points either because of Hazard's powerful O-line and Corey Smith.

I agree, he certainly is. What I've noticed about him this season is he's kicked that speed up a notch or two. Running more like a RB busting through the hole with the brute strength he's always had. Loves contact while running too. Jmo, I really don't see them looking ahead, as this team is really disciplined.

Two teams peaking at the right time.... I hope I am able to be in attendance. Hazard can not have turnovers like last time or its over. They will need to force punts and not muff those punts. They will be to force turnovers and not let the QB settle into the game.

Really impressed with Hazards play! While seeing and keeping track of these two, Hazard as a whole appears stronger. Charles is a solid RB but then again your in a discussion that contains Corey Smith! Hazard takes this one!

Hazard 42
Pikeville 36

Really hope that Hazard gets this one but realistically Pikeville is the stronger team here. I just hope that Pikeville is healthy moving on as a state semi win against the defending 1A state champion. Lets get it.
#10
Pikeville's D is a little better. But Hazard is hitting on all cylinders running behind that mammoth line. This one is a toss up. It will come down to turnovers and special teams.
#11
A good one to go watch, that's for sure! Even more so for Hazard fans toward the end! Confusednicker:

Panthers look ahead to little lambs they will have a long night. They probably learned that lesson 2 years ago
#13
I'm unsure about this game. I want to say Pikeville but feel Hazard by one point.
#14
I know both programs have step it up some since their last close game! We will see who's step it up the most! Like to see Paintsville/Raceland game on WYMT but dang if this one shouldn't be up there with it! 2 BIG 1A High School Football games going on Friday Night in Eastern KY! Wish one was on Thursday!! Be nice to catch both!!!

Some great football games going on in Eastern Kentucky this week. Johnson County and Pike County are football centers of our world at least this week.

Don't get me wrong. Right now between those two I'm hoping Pikeville pulls it out! Paintsville knows the Panthers much better! Little unsure about the Paintsville/Hazard match up though! Could make for a tremendous show between Corey Smith and KP!

Last time Phelps/Morris had 39 carries, while Charles/Battaile only had 12!
Would love to see what happens if they get the same amount of carries!
But maybe we can discuss next week.

Blake Charles last 3 games (all 1st half running clocks, basically 5 total quarters of work):

20 carries, 435 yards, 10 TDs

In the first 4 games he had 18 carries TOTAL lol...

Pretty good! He's getting there! KP had over 300 just Friday. Corey Smith with 400 Friday! That's running the ball! Only problem with Battile and Charles trying to run the ball against Paintsville D is well it's against Paintsville D! Confusednicker: We seen how KP runs against Pikeville D! ALOT!!

29 carries BlueBird! 9 more than Blake in last 3 games combined! I know you can count! And before you get overconfident again last time the winner got to go to to Bowling Green and the loser got to go to basketball practice Pikeville rushed for 400 yards and KP got 88!!!

Good luck against the Rams!TongueirateSho

Charles extended plays on third down last game against Hazard. Most of those were just simple safe counters that he worked and ran hard for first downs.

I do have a question and who is Braden Kendalls back up since he was ejected in the last game?

Pikeville has developed depth on the line with several people being out during the year, but still a good chance you will see him Friday IMO. Should NOT have been ejected by the horrible crew that worked the game. Who is out for the Bulldogs with injuries bac?

Again Jet last year can't help ya! You know as well as anyone in the state, 2016 Pikeville team is a Far cry from the 2015 team! We exposed that! Use a calculator, a notebook or your fingers and toes and it still comes up to KP being the leading scoring RB in all of 1A! Just like a Pikeville fan! Let's not talk about how KP already took your lunch and ate this season lets talk about "last season" Confusednicker:

Pikeville 42. Hazard 24

I'm thinking the SOS will be a huge factor here :flame:

Outsider looking in. Having played Pikeville and watching Hazard, you're gonna have your hands full with Blake Charles. Kid is a beast. He might not have the breakaway speed to bust an 80 yarder, but he will dang sure beat ya to death the entire length of the field while bruising out 5-6 yards a carry, or more.

Smith will give Panthers fit running behind that big line.

E's Army. Im curious what did Hazard rush for in the first meeting?
