Belfry #1 3a @ Johnson Central #1 4a 10/28/16
#1
Surprised this isn't a thread yet so I'll start it. This IMO is probably the best game in the state this week. Belfry is 8-1 with only loss to TN powerhouse Knoxville Catholic. Johnson Central is 9-0 who do y'all think wins. I'll take Belfry in a close one.

Who wins?
#3
Can't afford to fumble at all. Both great strong lines.
#4
Whoever has the ball last. Or whoever has to rest the least amount of starters. From what I hear Belfry is resting 3 for sure.
#5
Hope everybody is healthy for this game.

There are no trophies awarded with a big Gold Football on them for winning this game.

I love this game, but hate seeing it the weeks before the playoffs start.

The fans!

Definitely, the fans!!

The fans get cheated when kids are told not to dress for the game and nothing wrong with them.

Which is more important a win this week or potentially a state championship? The fans will be fine if their team ends up hoisting the trophy. I look for both teams to sit anyone with a sniffle.

I talked to one of the coaches this evening he said definitely one is out and said if there not hurt they will play

All Pirates in this one
#17
IF and only IF both coaches play their starters and go all out! I'll Go with the Eagles in a tight one! Main thing is everyone comes away healthy! This is a dangerous game to end a season on! Wowza!!!
#18
This game will be hard to judge. Both teams have all their hopes pinned on winning a state championship. The goal for both will be to come out healthy. Winning or losing this game will be an after thought if they win a game in December.

Pirates by 7.

This is going to be a knock down drag out war!

I hope and pray that every kid is protected and ends this game with no injuries!

Lexington Catholic is a top 10 3A team. I am not sure where they are in the latest AP ranking but CalPrep has them at #3 and BGR had them at #3 last week.

I think that this game will be determined by which coach decides to play more conservatively to minimize the chance of key injuries to their players. It is a shame that this game was not played early in the season, when both teams would have gone all out to win.
#26
Battle of the Titans of East KY football over the last ten years.Would this game have more or less meaning if played earlier in the season, maybe some sort of bowl game? Seems everyone(Fans) is just thinking about sitting starters or key players,to avoiding injuries.
#27
Belfry easily
#28
I can't wait until Friday then they won't be any question Belfry to big to strong to fast
#29
Just look who each team returns from last year....Belfry should win this game...Belfry clearly has more playmakers and clearly has a bigger line...I guess Friday night at 7:30 we shall see...

Average size I thought JC is bigger.
