Oh I don't know, Ben Rhodes has a dime a dozen shingle from Rice in liberal arts and still wound up basically running the country as the "Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting."
He had a lot to say about the Iran nuclear deal, and reportedly ObamaCare, and I'm not sure he could even find his way to work in the mornings without help. It ain't the school or the diploma.

This time is for all the marbles. It's time to ask yourself if you want to continue to live as a free man, or if you want government, socialist government in this case, to tell you if you're even allowed to eat, IMO.

I would say that is right, for some. I prefer to judge the world around me based on conditions and current events. You know, like in the case of ObamaCare for example. My health insurance premiums have doubled from the rate I paid in 2009, (before Barack had a chance to effect his transformation). My copay amounts since then are up 500%, and covered incidents are far fewer. In all, we're looking at 10's of thousands of dollars annually in increased costs for my household in just this area of expense alone. Contrast that against Obama's promise that I would see a $2,500 dollar (per annum) savings with the rammage of the Affordable, Affordable, Affordable, Affordable Care Act---- Nancy Pelosi, Mar 20, 2014
Add to that is the fact that the major providers are screaming about huge losses under the mandate and the vulnerability of the whole house of cards is clear.

Allow me to gloat like à Republican; my health care hasn't changed one bit. Conservative logic: it don't affect my pocket book so I don't give a damn.

By election day, the biggest difference between Donald Trump's agenda and those of Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney will be the slimy tactics that Trump used to win the nomination. Trump is continuing to morph into the typical moderate candidate that the GOP establishment prefers.
Even poor, old Jimmy Carter saw this one coming.
Quote:In the latest shift, Trump campaign wavers on mass deportations
Donald Trump’s campaign wavered Sunday on whether he would continue to call for the mass deportation of 11 million illegal immigrants from the United States, the latest in a series of sometimes-clumsy attempts to win over moderate GOP voters without alienating millions who have flocked to his hard-line views.
After insisting for more than a year that all illegal immigrants “have to go,” Trump met with a newly created panel of Hispanic advisers on Saturday and asked for other ideas — making clear that his position is not finalized, according to two attendees. Any shift would represent a remarkable retreat on one of the Republican nominee’s signature issues.
The meeting prompted attempts by Trump advisers on Sunday to clarify his position. Campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said on CNN that Trump’s stance on mass deportations was “to be determined” but that he will be “fair and humane for those who live among us in this country.” Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), a close Trump adviser, said on CBS that the nominee is “wrestling” with the issue but has not changed his position yet.
“People that are here unlawfully, came into the country against our laws, are subject to being removed,” Sessions said. “That’s just plain fact.”
The remarks were the latest in a series of moves by Trump or his aides in recent weeks to alter or shade his position on issues that have been central to his appeal — an effort that has accelerated as he fades in the polls behind Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. The shifts appear aimed at shoring up support among white GOP moderates who have been reluctant to support extreme positions staked out by Trump during the Republican primary, including a massive U.S.-Mexico border wall, deportation of illegal immigrants and a “total” ban on foreign Muslims.
Even poor, old Jimmy Carter saw this one coming.
Quote:“I think I would choose Trump, which may surprise some of you,” the former Democratic president said during an appearance at Britain’s House of Lords on Wednesday afternoon. He was asked who he would pick for the GOP nomination.
“The reason is, Trump has proven already he’s completely malleable,” Carter explained. “I don’t think he has any fixed [positions] he’d go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far-right wing policies he’d pursue if he became president.” - Former President Jimmy Carter

Trump nearly quintuples the rental rate for office space in Trump Tower after his decision to stop "self funding." This is the kind of thing that makes it easy for the liberal media to portray Trump as a shady, greedy businessman at a time they should be focused on Trump's demand for a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary's raw and overt corruption. It is also the kind of dumb decision that will probably cost him the election.
Quote:For Trump's Campaign, the Candidate Is Also the Landlord
Donald Trump's presidential campaign is paying Donald Trump a lot in rent.
The GOP nominee's campaign fought back on Tuesday after criticism of drastically increased rental costs at the team's own office space at Trump Tower in Manhattan, attributing a four-fold increase over two months to an "expansion" of the organization.
"The campaign expanded from part of a single floor by adding the entirety of two separate floors. Overall, we still pay over $40,000 less in rent than the Clinton campaign," a Trump spokesperson said in a statement.
New filings to the Federal Election Commission found that the amount of rent Trump's presidential campaign pays to Trump Tower Commercial LLC, the owner of the building that houses his campaign headquarters, has risen steadily since April.
In July, Trump spent $169,785 on rent compared to $110,684 in June, which is a huge jump from the $35,457 rental payment the campaign paid from August of 2015 until April of 2016, according to an analysis by NBC News.

So in your world the rental rate for a half a floor should be the same as 3 floors?

TheRealThing Wrote:So in your world the rental rate for a half a floor should be the same as 3 floors? In my world, a candidate should consciously work to avoid the appearance of impropriety when he is running against a crook. Trump should not be recouping the loans to his campaign by doing so much business with his own companies.
If the campaign is actually paying market rates for the Trump Tower office space, then the prudent thing to have done during a campaign would have been to rent office space from somebody not named Trump.
The bottom line is that his campaign is once again on defense, instead of hammering home the Hillary is a criminal message. Trump should stop stepping on his own message by exercising poor judgment. Maybe he can blame Paul Manafort for renting the space.

As the election grows near, Trump will be making many more moves out of desperation. Cruz's basic position on illegal immigration has not changed since he ran for the U.S. Senate.
As Jimmy Carter opined, Trump is much more malleable than Cruz. The corrupt GOP establishment and the corrupt Democrats would have no trouble working with Trump if he gets elected. Carter has never been right about much, but even he was smart enough to recognize a political opportunist when he sees one.
Democrats selected the GOP nominee (with your help) and now Democrats are humiliating him in the polls, as they dishonestly refer to Trump as a conservative. You see, RIUTG, what the Uniparty in Washington really fears is true conservatism and Trump is no conservative. The RNC knew that Trump could not win but they would rather lose with Trump than win with Cruz.

Let me paint the picture a little clearer for you #NeverTrumpers.
If Hillary is President, she will be nominating all of the Federal and Supreme Court openings. Imagine a Supreme Court with 7 Ruth Bader Ginsburgs on the court. The political press will continue to be her cheerleaders, as they have completely abdicated their role to hold both candidates accountable. There is a very good chance one or both chambers will be under Democratic control. 11 million illegal aliens will be given paths to citizenship that will result in the GOP being completely uncompetitive in future national elections.
Hillary Clinton will have unchecked power to do anything she darn well pleases while being influenced by donations from foreign countries. This is a formula for both war and economic depression. And I mean war, ON OUR SOIL!
Is that the world you want to wake up to on November 9th?

If you want to blame somebody besides Trump himself being such a weak candidate, then I suggest you start with Reince Priebus and the rest of the GOP braintrust who allowed a liberal Democrat to run for the Republican nomination.

If Trump does not begin to rally in the polls very soon, you will see the GOP divert most of its money into Senate and House campaigns to try to salvage their majorities.

Trump is spending far less than Hillary and is very competitive. Trump has all of his ad buys after labor day. The fact that Hillary played the racist card so quickly after Trumps minority outreach shows she is threatened by it and vulnerable with the minority vote. Once Trump takes his case directly to urban minorities, he will make progress. If Trump gets 10 percent of the AA vote and 30 percent of hispanic, he wins.
I prefer an inexperienced President to a compromised one.

The Clinton Foundation accepted donations from Russian interests which led to purchase of Uranium from the US that made its way to Iran. The Clinton Foundation has also accepted donations from PROC interests in return for access and favors.
Bill Clinton accepted speaking from entities that were also foundation donors. The Clintons are corrupt to the core. They have become billionares by selling access to The state Department.
